Coastal Animal Clinic

Today team Largo puts the spotlight on one of our babies, Karlie.
Karlie has been at Coastal for 5 years. She is currently in the veterinary technician program to continue her education for patient health. She loves animals, big and small, and chose veterinary medicine because she feels as though our pets should be taken care of since they are part of our family too. Karlie grew up in Pasco County with horses and moved to Pinellas County in 2014. Outside of work she enjoys paddle boarding and going to the beach.
Karlie, you are a gem and such a bright light to us all. We know how hard you work and how much effort you are putting into your future in veterinary medicine. It has been such a pleasure watching you grow and being there to support you when you made your final decision to pursue veterinary technology and not human med.........because.......people are gross.
You are going to crush it, and we are so excited to continue to watch and help you grow. We love you "Sid" :)

Today we celebrate Jose! Jose has been with Coastal for 11 years but has been in this building caring for patients since before it was Coastal.
Josè brings over 26 years of surgical nursing experience to the clinic. Earned a MVZ degree from Universidad Veracruzana in Mexico. He loves the fast paced environment of dentals and surgical procedures while also educating clients on at-home post operative care. Outside the clinic, Jose is a dedicated father of three daughters and enjoys riding his road bike.
Jose, HAPPY WORKAVERSARY!!!! Thank you so much for your dedication to patient care and help teach and develop our staff and volunteers to contribute great things to the field. We LOVE you and truly appreciate all that you do.

Today we recognize our AMAZING Kacie!
She has been in the field for 30 years and brings so much to the Coastal family. Not only does she help care for our patients and clients, but she also manages our inventory to ensure we have what we need to get your fur babies taken care of. She is full of personality and means what she says lol
When she is not working, she is known to chill at home with her cats and taking care of her plants.
Kacie, we love you! Thank you so much for your dedication and advocacy towards your patients. You go above and beyond every day and it shows. Thank you for always keeping your practice manager on her toes. Keep being you!

This week we are taking a moment to recognize our AMAZING staff members and their dedication to our clients and patients. Today we recognize Autumn.

Autumn joined the team in 2020 and earned her Veterinary Technician certification in 2022. She loves caring for patients and helping their families feel supported throughout their veterinary experience. When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll find her training and competing in equine show jumping. She also shares her home with her beloved cats, dogs, and horses.

Autumn, we love you and thank you so much for everything you do from technician duties to helping our practice manager keep her head above water with admin duties. We love you and are so grateful that we have been a part of your journey and that you call Coastal home.
Happy Veterinary Technician Week!

💙🐾 Happy Veterinary Technician Week 2026! 🐾💙
To our amazing veterinary technicians at Coastal Animal Clinic,
Thank you for the countless hours, the long days, the late nights, the compassion, and the dedication you bring to our patients and their families every single day. You are the hands that comfort, the hearts that care, the voices that advocate, and the strength behind so much of what we do.
We know this job isn't always easy. There are exhausting days, emotional moments, difficult cases, and times when you give everything you have and still wonder if it's enough. But please know this: your efforts do not go unnoticed, your hard work does not go unappreciated, and the difference you make is greater than you could ever imagine.
You make a difference in the lives of our patients who cannot say thank you, in the hearts of the families who trust us with their beloved pets, and in the lives of the doctors and teammates who couldn't do this without you.
Behind every successful veterinary practice is a team of exhausted, dedicated, compassionate veterinary technicians who keep showing up, keep giving their all, and keep putting their hearts into this profession. ❤️
We are so incredibly grateful for each of you, for everything you do, and for the love you bring to Coastal Animal Clinic. You are valued, you are appreciated, and you are an essential part of our family.
Thank you for being the incredible people you are. We see you. We appreciate you. We couldn't do this without you. 🐶🐱💙
With much love and gratitude,
Your Coastal Animal Clinic Family 🌊🐾
