Got a furry friend who could use a bath? Bring them out to support our the University of Wyoming's Pre-Vet Club at their donation-based Pet Wash! 🐶🫧 All small animal fur friends are welcome to join in on the fun!

Your donations help support the next generation of veterinarians by funding trips to veterinary schools, bringing professionals to campus for educational presentations, providing valuable learning opportunities for pre-vet students, and more.

Your pet gets a fresh, clean coat, and these future veterinarians get one step closer to reaching their goals. It's a win-win! We hope to you there😺

🐾 World Rabies Day is September 28 🐾

Rabies may be rare in the United States, but it is certainly not gone... and the reason we see so few cases is because prevention works!

🌍In the U.S., approximately 4,000 animals test positive for rabies every year, with more than 90% of those cases occurring in wildlife.

🐕🐈 Meanwhile, more than 91 million dogs and cats are vaccinated against rabies each year, helping protect our pets, our families, and our communities.

The result? Fewer than 10 people die from rabies in the U.S. each year. That's an incredible success! But it isn't a reason to stop vaccinating. It's a reason to keep doing what works. Rabies is almost always fatal once clinical signs appear, but it is preventable. Keeping pets current on their rabies vaccination is one of the simplest and most effective ways we can protect both animals and people. 💙 Rare doesn't mean gone. Vaccination is why it stays rare.

EDIT: We have received a new update from our service technicians that the estimated resolution time has been pushed to 6:00p.

Alpine is currently a part of an outage that is affecting both our phones and internet. The estimated repair time is 3:30pm, but fingers are crossed that we will be back up before then! At this time, we do not need to reschedule any currently standing appointments. Thank you for your patience!

We think a lot about what goes into our pets' food, but how we store and handle it matters, too! A few simple habits can help keep their food fresh, safe, and free from contamination.

Be sure to check out the tips in our graphic, including why keeping food in its original bag is important. Pet food manufacturers specifically design their packaging to help protect the food from moisture, air, light, and other factors that can contribute to spoilage and mold growth.

A little extra attention goes a long way!🐶🐱💙
