Today is GiveNOLA day. Looking for GNOTRC on GiveNOLA? Sadly, we aren't listed because the system was migrated to a different platform, and Anita mistakenly assumed that all of GNOTRC's information would be moved along. It's a costly mistake, and the timing is terrible, as GNOTRC finds itself struggling financially. GNOTRC is in its 33rd year of providing therapeutic riding to children and adults with disabilities. Will you donate to GNOTRC directly in the name of the GiveNOLA campaign? Here's the link;

Greater New Orleans Therapeutic Riding Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting horse-assisted activities for children and adults with disabilities. There's finally a chill in the air, and there is hot chocolate and gumbo in the cafe! Santa is back at the North Pole, but Spirit of Christmas is open until December 30. The ponies are waiting for you, and the duck races are ready! There's finally a chill in the air, and there is hot chocolate in the cafe! Your visit supports GNOTRC, a nonprofit that provides horse assisted therapy and therapeutic riding for children and adults with disabilities in the River Parishes.
Spirit of Christmas is a family friendly walking tour of lighted displays presented by and benefiting Greater New Orleans Therapeutic Riding Center. The event is held at Destrehan Plantation daily until December 30 (closed in the case of inclement weather), 530-830 pm. Admission is $10, children 4 and under are free. Free parking. And of course lots of lights!
