Happy Birthday to Hope! 🐴🎉

Hope is a beautiful 6-year-old OTTB owned by our wonderful boarders Katrina & Gracie here at Kings Spotted Farm, and I’ve been lucky enough to spend time training and riding her. She has such a sweet personality and always tries her heart out.

I had the pleasure of taking her on her very first trail ride, and she ended up being one of my favorite horses to take out on the trail. She was brave, curious, and handled it like a champ.

It’s been so fun watching her learn and grow, and I’m excited to see where this special girl goes next.

We love you, Hope!! 💕🐎

TWENTY-NINE and still fabulous 🐴✨

Please join us in wishing this handsome gentleman the happiest 29th birthday! 🥳🫶🏼🥳

Twenty-nine years of being the best boy and twenty-nine years of wisdom! We are so thankful he calls Kings Spotted Farm home.

Here’s to extra scratches, extra treats, and another year of being the best boy ever. ♥️ Kandice Elaine

Everyone meet Nemo! 🐴✨

Nemo officially joined the Kings Spotted Farm family and honestly… he walked off the trailer like he already belonged here. 🥹

The kids decorated him for Valentine’s Day, Brooklynn hopped on ba****ck in just a halter and lead rope, and he didn’t miss a beat. Calm, steady, and so willing.

Nemo is a sweet Shetland pony who does have PPID and insulin dysregulation, which means we manage his diet and care very carefully…but with proper management, these ponies can thrive. And he already is.

We can’t wait for all the memories ahead. 🤍🥰🫶🏼

This is farm life in Michigan. ❄️🐴

When you own a farm, the animals always come first, no matter how cold, how late, or how tired you are.
Last night, it got to -13°, and it was past midnight. We had frozen eyelashes, a frozen beard, and exhausted kids. I love teaching our kids that you take care of the animals before anything else. These horses depend on us, and that responsibility doesn’t stop just because it’s cold and miserable outside. You definitely have to love animals to live this life… and we truly do. 🤍 Wouldn’t trade these moments (or this life) for anything.🥶🥶

🎄🐴 Christmas chaos, barn edition 🐴🎄

We couldn’t resist sharing these adorable pictures of our horses “busting through” the wrapping paper to check out their stockings…their noses are way too cute! 😍🎁 These made us laugh so hard and perfectly capture their personalities.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get everyone photographed this year. We ran out of time, but we still wanted to share some holiday cheer with the ones we did get.
To our boarders & lesson kids: thank you for being such an incredible part of our barn family. We truly appreciate all of you.
A huge thank you to The Covered Wagon Saddlery for helping us make our stockings extra special every year.
Wishing our boarders, friends, and the entire equine community a very Merry Christmas 🤍🎄🐎

Due to the current Equine Herpesvirus (EHV-1) outbreak, we are taking immediate precautionary measures to protect the horses in our care.
Effective immediately, no horses will be coming onto or leaving the property, and we will not be attending any parades, events, or off-property rides until this situation has safely cleared. Whether or not there are confirmed cases in Michigan at this moment, it simply isn’t worth the risk. EHV-1 can spread before horses show obvious symptoms, which is why strict biosecurity and limiting movement are essential.
For the safety of your horses and the entire equine community, we strongly encourage everyone to keep their horses at home and avoid unnecessary travel or contact with outside facilities.
Our priority is the health and wellbeing of the horses in our care. We’ll continue to monitor updates closely and will lift restrictions only when it is safe to do so.

Stay vigilant, there are a lot of equine diseases spreading across the country(and in Canada) currently. Strangles, Equine Herpesviris including EHM, Vesicular stomatitis to name a few. Biosecurity is your first line of defense to keep your barn safer.

We spent yesterday as a family landscaping around our farm sign. We planted flowers, painted posts, and laid every brick with love. It’s more than just a sign now…it’s a symbol of the home we’re building together. Grateful for these little moments and the big memories they create. 💛

What a weekend! Kicked things off with a 10-mile trail ride, and then headed to the 4-H show Saturday! Huge shoutout to my amazing lesson girls! So proud of Pony for rocking her second show ever with Hannah…you both did fantastic! And Gracie, you did great, even after that challenging trail ride the night before.
