We breed small animals in-store to ensure healthy, well-socialized pets, and we run a rehoming program to help animals find loving homes. You’ll find gerbils, guinea pigs, ferrets, degus, hamsters, rats, and more. Our reptile section features a wide variety of snakes, lizards, invertebrates, and other unique species. We prioritize proper care and education, so you can confidently care for your new pet long after you leave the store. While we don’t sell cats or dogs, we carry everything you need to spoil your furry friends. We’re also proud to partner with our neighbor, Constellation Cat Cafe, which re-homes rescue cats from Saved by Zade. Come explore our departments and make Preuss Pets your next stop!

It’s so important to share the stray animals turned into Ingham County Animal Control and Shelter and direct owner’s who have lost a pet to their website as to hopefully locate them. The hope is they are reported and the person who finds them can foster until they are claimed. Let’s give these stray animals a fighting chance!

I’m too exhausted with joy to find all the right words for what happened today as we celebrated Hoover the Catfish's Birthday Party!!

95% of attendees rated it as the best idea ever. 5% were perplexed by the idea of a huge hooorah featuring multiple live bands for a catfish. To those 5% I say, why not? 😘🎷🐟

I am absolutely head over heels in love with our pet lovin’ community that celebrates the weird and wonderful things in this world. 🎉🎉

Cheers to 44 years Preuss Pets has been in business! Today was the launch of many more festivities to come this year! Be on the lookout for more!
