Cats use their whiskers to understand the environment around them. To prevent "whisker fatigue," make sure you use the correct food and water bowls. Stay away from using dog bowls because they can be too deep. Instead, buy cat bowls and those designed to prevent whisker fatigue.

Play can help boost your pet’s mood, prevent boredom, and relieve pet stress. It can be difficult to schedule enough activity with your pet if all the humans in your household work full time, but even small amounts of playtime can have a positive impact on your pet’s mood and quality of life. Another bonus? As a pet parent, you get serious mental health benefits, too! Just a short play period with your furry friend can get those endorphins flowing and help turn your mood around.

Don't forget that part of taking proper care of your pet includes regular vet visits. Make an appointment with us today by contacting us at (864) 895-8091.

You’ve likely heard that humans have a daily fluid intake recommendation, but did you know that there are also recommendations for dogs? To find your pupper’s ideal water intake, you’ll need to know their weight. A dog should drink 1 ounce of fluids per pound of body weight. So a 5lb Chihuahua would only drink 5 ounces of water a day whereas a 110lb Great Dane should drink 110 ounces of water daily! It sounds like a lot of water, because it is! There will be some situations where a dog will certainly need more water than this equation indicates so be sure to contact us with any of your dog hydration questions.
