We are a non-profit shelter in Grant County, Wisconsin.

No walk ins allowed without approved applications! In June of 2015, the Grant County Humane Society (GCHS) became an official 501(c)3 organization housed in a separate room at the Lancaster Veterinary Clinic in Lancaster, Wisconsin, for

two main reasons:
A place needed for Grant County surrendered animals
An organization that allows donations to be tax deductible

Main Directives:
As a newer organization, the GCHS has two main directives:
-Develop protocols for animal care, adoption, fostering and volunteering.
-Build and sustain an involved volunteer corps to continuously expand and improve our services. Long ­Range Goals:
-Fundraise for a building
-Fundraise for operating costs
-Endowment development to cover long ­range costs (after building)
-Develop yearly community outreach programs
-Hold yearly educational programs

Burr (formally Mr. Scrooge) update!

He fits right in our family of 4 children, a cat brother and a bernese mountain dog sister!

He is the sweetest gentle giant and loves to snuggle!
Now that mom and kids are on summer break from school, he is soaking up all the extra attention

He truly is the best cat i’ve ever owned
He seriously is such a good cat. His personality is a perfect fit for our family.
He’s a dream and hasn’t had any issues at all
