πŸ“’ Blog Post Alert! Mark addresses why it's important to consider requalifying a child-resistant package even when nothing has changed. The regulations establish a baseline for compliance, but they do not eliminate the responsibility to ensure that child-resistant functionality continues to perform as intended throughout the lifecycle of the package.

🏠 Do Something Good for Your Neighbor Day! It's always a great day when you can do something nice for someone else. A few acts of kindness to consider for the day include offering to take the trash bins to the curb, w**d the flower bed, cut the lawn, or make a meal for a family with a new baby.

May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month! 🌞⚠ Help lower your family's risk for skin cancer by following these tips:

πŸ“Œ Ensure sunglasses 😎 block 99-100% of radiation to protect developing eyes.

πŸ“Œ See shade under trees, umbrellas, or pop-up tents during peak UV hours (10 a.m. - 4 p.m.). β›±οΈπŸŒ³

May is National Bike Safety Month! 🚲 Essential child bike safety tips to teach and reinforce with children while they are young, and as they grow older.

πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈWear a Helmet Every Time: the most effective safety device is a properly fitting helmet. It should be snug, sit level on the forehead, and have secure straps. Kids learn so much from watching you, so it's important to model proper bike safety behavior. Wear a helmet, even if you didn't have to when you were a kid.

🚲 Use the "Bike Fit" Rule: Ensure the bike is the correct size. When standing over the bike, there should be 1-2 inches of space for a road bike and 3-4 inches for a mountain bike. Kids should be able to place both feet on the ground when seated.

⚠️ Every child is different, but developmentally, it can be hard for kids to judge speed and distance of cars until age 10, so limit riding to sidewalks (careful for vehicles in driveways), parks or bike paths.

❗️Teach children to ride on the right side of the road, with traffic, not against it. Use appropriate hand signals and respect traffic signals, stopping at all stop signs and stoplights. Stop and look left, right and left again before entering a street or crossing an intersection.

πŸŒ‡πŸŒ† Use Lights when riding at Dawn or Dusk and make sure your bike has reflectors as well. It's also smart to wear clothes that have reflective materials to improve biker visibility to motorists.

Riding a bicycle is good for your health and lots of fun, but only if you plan for safety!

πŸ“’ Blog Post Alert! Did you ever wonder how child-resistant package testing methods were developed? We know for a FACT how they came about since our founder, Gene Miller, was there at the beginning and we still have the documents as part of our history. FUN FACT: Our post photo is the cover of the initial meeting document.

We are often asked how the age groups for adults were determined and why we test more women than men. In his latest blog post, Mark will answer these questions and more!

πŸ“’ Blog Post Alert! Mark asks the important question, "Are You Ready for CPSC eFiling?" and shares how you can be prepared to meet the July 8, 2026 deadline.

http://www.birddogmarketinggroup.com/are-you-ready-for-cpsc-efiling

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is rolling out one of the most significant compliance changes for importers in recent years, and the clock is ticking. ⏰Starting July 8, 2026, eFiling of product safety certificate data will become mandatory for most imported consumer products. Child-Resistant Package (CRP) testing data generated under 16 CFR 1700.20 must be part of the eFiling (electronic filing) process for certificates of compliance for regulated products (such as pesticides, drugs, and household chemicals). The testing procedure, which evaluates a package's effectiveness against child access, is defined in 16 CFR Part 1700.

Our team at Bird Dog Marketing Group is here to answer questions and provide the expertise you need to be prepared to meet these important deadlines. .20
