🐾 Meet the Adoptable Pet of the Week from Centerville Pet Rescue ! 🐾
Meet Hiro!
Hiro came to us through another shelter we partner with, where he needed a little extra time and space to heal after undergoing an extensive dental procedure while also battling an upper respiratory infection. Because Hiro is FIV+, recovery can take a little longer for him.
But Hiro wasn’t about to let any of that slow him down.
Since arriving, this 8-year-old gentleman has been nothing but affectionate, hungry, and absolutely delighted with his new outlook on life. He rubs on everyone he meets for pets, snacks like he’s making up for lost time, and seems to have decided that life is pretty great when you’re surrounded by people who love you.
And yes, those curly ears are every bit as adorable in person.
Hiro does have some very specific requirements for his forever home. He would like to be the one and only pet. He has displayed negative posturing around other cats, and because we want Hiro and any potential feline companions to remain safe and comfortable, we are requiring a cat-free home.
Dogs? Hiro would also like to respectfully decline the canine roommate situation. He postures toward dogs, too, and honestly… can you blame him? After spending his life in uncertainty, Hiro has every right to want his new home to feel predictable and safe.
Children, however? Sure! As long as they’re respectful and understand that Hiro is a gentleman who appreciates being treated with kindness.
What Hiro is looking for isn’t complicated. He wants a home where he can be adored, where the snacks are plentiful, the pets are plentiful-er, and where he doesn’t have to worry about sharing his people with another animal.
