Friday 5/29 Open 9am-6pm. Upick strawberries are half price ($1.99/lb) plus $0.50 for our bucket. Picking is still good with many nice ripe berries among many more soggy berries. Upick snapdragon flower bouquets are half price ($5.50). Hall's Kitchen and Bakery, Three Crow Mining Co., and the Coffee Cottage open at 9am, and the Kid Zone, Goat Walk, and Kid Walk open at 12pm.

One free blueberry donut with purchase of any activity ticket.

You picked and bought just over $1600 of strawberries at half price Wednesday and Thursday. We will ask Nourish Up at Harrison Church to provide us a food shopping list and we will donate to them $1600 of requested food.

I weedwacked all but 4 rows of the field this week, much of the time in the rain. That's roughly 6 miles of paths to mow. Got it looking nice for the last few days of the season.

Thursday 5/28 u-pick strawberries and snapdragon flowers, funnel cakes, slushies and drinks , and free play areas available 9am-4pm. We are continuing the HALF PRICE SALE on both strawberries ($1.99 per lb) and flowers ($5.50 all the flowers you can fit in the provided pint jar). We will also use 100% of the strawberry sales today to buy food to donate to Nourish Up at Harrison Church as we committed to do on Wednesday ($798 of half-price strawberries were picked and we will donate all of it.). We will staff only the bakery and will have funnel cakes, slushies, and cold drinks available. Go to the field first and get picking buckets, flower jars and shears. Pick your berries and flowers, then bring them to window 4 at the bakery to pay. Friday -Sunday will be the last days of the season with all food and activities open.

Wednesday morning a young couple getting married this weekend picked a bunch of flowers for their wedding and let us post their pic. I've also posted several pics of the Camarosa strawberries taken Wednesday evening. Honestly, I've never seen so many ripe berries at the end of a strawberry season. Many are water-damaged but many are in great condition. Half price and all proceeds donated! That is a great deal for all. Don't let these strawberries get wasted. Thursday is the final day for 100% of your half-price strawberry purchase go to help someone in need.

Wednesday 5/27 Open 9am-4pm. The upick strawberry HALF PRICE SALE continues Wednesday, and to encourage you to buy all these ripe berries that are being mistreated by all the rain, we will use 100% of the strawberry sales today to buy non-perishable food to donate to Nourish Up at Harrison Church. Thanks to all the hardy folks who picked over 500 lbs in the rain Tuesday. Let's try to double that Wednesday so we can give $2000 of food.

Hall's Kitchen and Bakery and the Coffee Cottage are open, so please stop in before or after picking. Ticketed activities are not open Wednesday. Upick snapdragon flowers are still half price, $5.50 for all you can fit in a pint jar.

Tuesday 5/26 only upick strawberries open 9am-4pm. HALF PRICE TUESDAY! Ignore our earlier post about being closed as the forecast now shows a likely break in the weather. The missing half of our strawberry crop is now ripening during this ill-timed rain. There is an abundance of ripe berries. The sb025s at the front of the field and the Ruby June's in back are large and plentiful. HALF PRICE TUESDAY! That's only $1.99 per lb. We would rather make a little coin and give you a great deal than waste these berries.

What is much less plentiful on the farm are real 3,000+ year old spear points. I found this one under the trees in the Kid Zone last weekend. Thousands of kids overlooked it. Our policy for spear points is "Finders Keepers". Everyone will be walking the farm with their eyes glued to the ground like me.

Closed Monday and Tuesday. Open Wednesday 5/27 at 9am.

Sunday (5/24) OPEN 9am to 6pm. The weather will be better today than Saturday, and the picking will be just as good. We plan to have all activities, food, and drinks open, and we will have a HALF PRICE SALE for strawberry picking (i.e. $1.99/lb). There's a lot of great berries out there; some have minor water damage, but they are perfectly fine if the bad spot is cut off.

Thank you to all who braved the rain to visit the farm Saturday! It turned out to be a beautiful day; overcast with a breeze and no heavy downpours at all. It was a quiet day, but quiet days are some of the best. Quiet days are when we get to really spend time with everyone who visits, and we are reminded how much people care about something as simple as picking strawberries outdoors--even in the rain. One woman gave me the recipe for a chocolate balsamic strawberry jam, which I plan to try out. A little girl whose family is from Belarus taught me how to say bye in Russian ("paka"). She spent hours playing with our cats, Fester and Gomez. Yet another family told me it's their tradition to pick tens of pounds of berries and spend the day making jam with the kids. Busy days are lively and fun, but slow days remind me of the times when all we had for sale were strawberries and slushies, and people still came to visit us. Quality time spent outside doesn't always have to require idyllic sunshine and perfect conditions. It's truly what you make of it, and families today were really making the most of it. It was a pleasure to watch.

Saturday 5/23 open 9am-4pm. U-PICK STRAWBERRY SALE!!! The first 5 lbs (a full mounded bucket) is regular price $3.99/lb, and all additional berries picked are half price. We will consolidate your berries into full buckets. There are plenty of very nice ripe berries all over but everything is very wet and you absolutely have to move the plants around. We got 1.5 inch rain last night. Don't come if you have any concerns about slippery conditions or getting muddy.

The Coffee Cottage, Hall's Kitchen and Bakery, gem mine, and free play area are open. No ticketed activities are open today.

Picking is excellent and nobody is here. This morning Stephanie picked these 2 gallons of Camarosas in one row in 20 minutes.
