Sooo happy for CHLOE!!!😍❤️

After losing their beloved cat, this lovely couple came to our adoption room looking for an adult cat. One of their criteria was the cat must like to be held, like to snuggle, and the queen of the house. This criteria was purrfect for KitKat. This snuggly girl, now named Chloe, insists on spending her time with people and firmly believes she is queen. After each spending cuddle time with her, they knew she was going to be a wonderful companion.

Today is 'Eat Your Veggies Day!' And it's the perfect opportunity to go over some safe and toxic vegetables. Carrots, celery, broccoli/cauliflower, and green beans can be fed to your dog raw or cooked with NO seasonings. Your dog can also have cooked sweet potatoes and canned pumpkin. Remember to only give these veggies in moderation. They are low in fat and calories, so they make the perfect treat, but too much fiber can sometimes cause gas/bloating. It's also important to cut veggies up into bite-sized pieces for your pet to avoid choking hazards.

If eaten by your pet, the toxic vegetables (depending on which) can cause vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, weakness, collapse, seizures, kidney issues, jaundice, pale gums, excessive drooling, increased heart rate/respiratory rate, etc. Make sure to monitor your dog on walks or when out in the yard, especially if you have a garden with plants that are poisonous to your pet.
