Sharing from another group. This reaches our home and the pups we have lost. Some old and others very young.
There are several in our group who have recently lost young / teen pups to some form of cancer . Then ones that blessed with 12-18 years.

Hold your pups and know they love you and you are their life.

HOLD CLOSE THE NOW

Today, I read something that stopped me in my tracks—words from another breeder, who is nearing the loss of her heart dog. Her pain is raw, familiar, and tender. But what struck me even more was how she spoke of the other dogs staying close by her side -- "They’re teaching me how to stay present in this heartbreak. How to love through the pain. How to say goodbye with grace." These dogs—our soulmates in fur—unconditionally teach us how to journey an authentic life and then one day leave behind paw prints that never fade.

Know this: the shredded towels, the tattered socks, shoes turned to confetti, puddles in corners, and craters in the yard — they are stitched with the same thread as the kisses on your cheek, the warm weight in your lap, the windows-down road trips, the hush of shared stillness, the rhythm of your steps in tandem.

These are fleeting things, woven into time like sunlight through leaves—gone before you know to miss them. Hold the now close for one day, your heart will ache for even the chaos.

Our girl, Cora, otherwise known as “The Puppy In The Window” is in the midst of delivering her litter of red tris and red Merles today!!! Seven so far! Our proud daddy…Quigley…has learned to keep his distance until momma says ok…in about 4 weeks! lol!!

Update: It’s nearly 8pm and Cora has had a total of 11! We sincerely hope she is finished…for her sake. All seem to be doing well….breathing good, moving around…wanting to nurse. All positive signs. It would be a blessing if all manage to survive. Anything more than 8-9 is a large litter for this breed. And we limited her breeding with Quigley to 2 consecutive days!
