Hey folks! Wanted to make a heads up post for any of my clients or potential clients needing their horses clipped before the winter or just coming into the spring this season.
My husband and I got the amazing news that we are expecting earlier this year. Our baby is due late 2026/early 2027. While it is a very anticipated time of the season it does mean my ability to clip horses has become pretty limited as I’ve gotten bigger and creep closer to my due date. That has of course got me to think about how I would be offering my services for the coming heavy season and next year. Below is the blocks and availabilities I will be expecting to have. If you have a need for clipping during the blocked period, I will unfortunately not be able to provide services. If you want to plan for something outside of that period please feel free to reach out and we can discuss what might be possible for me to accommodate.
I will be taking on no clients during the December and January months at the least. This block may extend into February as my baby and I recover with the expectation that I will be able to start taking on limited clients again in March. I am not taking on any full body (with legs) clips for the remainder of the year as my ability to bend over or crouch is extremely limited. That being said, unfortunately I cannot do ponies at present for the same reason.
I will be limiting my books to primarily those horses I’ve clipped previously for safety reasons though will happily be taking new clients when I start back up next year. As well, I will be limiting my standard range of travel for the remainder of the year as driving becomes progressively more uncomfortable for me.
The good news for my clipping clients is my prices remain stable, with no deviation from previous years. As well, I will be upgrading my equipment in the down time and finally getting more accessibility for my clients that struggle with providing power for the clippings. I’m hoping to come back better than ever, perhaps sometimes with a little one in tow, and look forward to seeing everyone again for this season. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or want to schedule something. Thank you all for your time and your business and hope you’re having a great Labor Day weekend!
