Lanai Cat Sanctuary provides a home for cats found at large on the island so that they will not struggle to survive. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, we rely on donations to make lifelong care possible. We are the most unique sanctuary of its kind; our haven serves as a model for cats and conservation interests that may sometimes be in conflict.

The toy review committee has some very strong opinions. 😹

Every toy needs a proper pounce test. Catnip requires a closer investigation. And sometimes, a friend joins in to offer a second opinion. Our reviewers take their work very seriously, right up until they start rolling around.

Would your cat join this committee?

A little appreciation for the people doing a lot of caring. 🐾

Medical care, cleaning, and tending to the sanctuary all take time and attention. Today, we’re giving that everyday work a moment in the spotlight. To the people who keep showing up for the cats, thank you.

You know someone who would stop everything to sit with these cats. 😻

They would watch the playful wrestling, cheer on the climbers, and happily pause for every cat brushing against their legs. If a name came to mind, send this their way. This is their kind of sightseeing.

Paws, wings, and waves. So much of Lanai to care about. 🌿

A lounging cat, a bird by the shore, and a wide view of the island each tell part of the story. Caring for cats and protecting wildlife belong together in our mission, with love for the island connecting them.

Some of the sweetest hellos happen at ankle height. 💛

A cat brushes against your leg, two friends exchange a cheek rub, or a curious face looks straight into the camera. There are so many little ways to connect at Lanai Cat Sanctuary. Sometimes, all you need to do is pause and notice.

Imagine having this much fun and caring this little about looking silly. 😹

Rolling around, wrestling with a friend, pouncing on a toy, then stopping for a very serious grooming session. The cats fully commit to whatever they are doing, and we love every ridiculous second.

Being cared for starts with being noticed. 🐾

A staff member pauses to check on a cat. Gentle hands offer medical care. Someone tends to the spaces the cats call home. These everyday moments remind us why individual attention matters at Lanai Cat Sanctuary.
