Our staff member spotlight of the day is Angel , who can be described as a Jack of all trades. Not only is she a knowledgeable, compassionate outpatient assistant, but she has also honed her skills as a laboratory technician and phlebotomist , giving her the ability to float between roles and assist in maximizing our work flow . In addition , she manages our page, alerting our clients to any changes in our schedule , and photographs and posts our Fur baby Fridays. She is truly a valued member of our staff . Help us thank her for her commitment to continued learning so she can best support you - our clients - and patients. We appreciate all you do Angel . Keep being awesome!

Today our staff member highlight is Maddy. Maddy is an exceptional out patient assistant who always takes the time needed to ensure our clients understand our recommendations, their pets conditions, and helps the pet feel safe and comfortable during their visit. She exhibits true heart and understanding of our clients challenges, always going above and beyond to help them and their pets . In addition to her outpatient duties she has some technical skills under her belt and is working towards learning and perfecting others, always seeking new knowledge and ways to grow. Maddy’s willingness to help others and her teamwork oriented attitude is evident in everything she does. Her creative / artistic abilities can be seen on our boards and decorations throughout the clinic and her compassion focused approach is felt by clients every day.

Our featured staff member today is Stacey. While Stacey tends to be a less visible member of the team due to her duties being mainly unseen in the back, she is a valuable lab technician, phlebotomist, dental technician, anesthesiologist, and so much more. Her dedication to compassionate care, skilled sample collection and processing and safe, stress-free anesthetic techniques is unmatched. We are beyond fortunate to have her as a member of our team. If you see her around this week, be sure to give her a shout out for all the many roles, she juggles throughout her week. Thank you, Stacey for all you do.

Second kitten that needs a home!
His name is Binks or rütbeer! He was found swimming in an older couples backyard when he was less than a month old! He is now back to health at 3 months old and looking for his forever home! He's good with dogs and cats, started vaccines and isn't fixed yet but will be by the time he's adopted!

Our staff spotlight of the day is Misty , whose passion for Rescue work is unmatched. She not only traps and transports animals for TNR, but she also fosters and fail fosters the sickest and most special needs of the cats in the area. She is a staunch advocate for spay and neuter to help control the never-ending cat over population. When not doing her Rescue work , she can be seen in surgery helping your pets have a safe and comfortable recovery. We are so happy that she joined our team. Help us in letting her know how much she is appreciated.

Today we are honoring Rose. Her passion for the welfare of all animals extends beyond dogs and cats to chickens , frogs, and any other living creature. She tirelessly spends her time, money, and resources to help any animal in need. Rose has a special interest in geriatric cats and nutrition , always advancing her knowledge for the betterment of the health of the animals she cares for. She readily gives of her time to care for and socialize the foster animals we are trying to adopt out. The animals are certainly lucky to have her as their advocate, and we are blessed to have her on our team. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to our clients , their pets and the fosters that come through our door. We appreciate you.

Paws and claws would like to recognize Alexa today. Alexa has been with the Paws and Claws Animal hospital team for three years . During that time we have seen her grow and thrive. She started her journey with us as a receptionist / outpatient assistant, and is currently furthering her knowledge and experience in technician school. We could not be prouder of her for pursuing this next leg of her journey and advancing her career serving animals. When she’s not helping the pets at the clinic, she is grooming cats, which anyone who has a cat knows is no small feat . Help us acknowledge Alexa today by giving her a shout out here or in person at the clinic this week. Thank you, Alexa for your service to all the clients and animals that pass through our doors.
