Our Gallery search at the Delaware Ag Museum last week was very exciting: the multiple tables and chairs, the high ceilings (note the vaulted glass ceiling with the sun streaming through! )and the open spaces created challenging air flow with pooling and trapping of odor.

We were told there was an unknown # of hides and were given 5:00 for this search. We found 4 of the 5 hides!

I was very proud of Vi's diligence in working through the odor puzzles especially on the tables and chairs! 💜 Patience and observation skills go a long way ! 👍

One of the NACSW Elite searches we did at the Delaware Agricultural Museum on Tuesday was in the Poultry 🐣🐓🐔🥚🐖 section: a very large, busy, open area with very high ceilings and multiple displays.
We were given 6:00 for the search and told there was an unknown number of hides.
There were six hides and we found all them all !!! 🤩 (but we don't find out how we did until the end of the day after all the searches are completed) and got a Pronounced designation for our search!

Here is the virtual walkthrough that was made available to the competitors the day before the trial

This video illustrates why it is so important to recognize scent cone behavior.
Vi 💜 does a beautiful job of sifting through the scent cones, evaluating air flow and working each piece of the puzzle.
We had a great time using up our six minutes!
Very proud of our team effort! 🐾👊👣

On Tuesday Team Vi 💜 traveled to the Delaware Agricultural Museum in Dover for the awesome Elite trial hosted by The Sniffing Hound finding 17/20 hides, no No's, and 85 points which gave us a 3rd place overall, a 3rd place in the Dairy Search AND our Elite Championship!!!! 🥳

What an amazing venue! We've never searched in a museum before and it was quite interesting!!! 🐮 🐓 🐖 🚜
We had beautiful weather and fun, challenging searches! Thanks to our Certifying Official, judges, Volunteer Coordinator and the Score Room! Special thanks to the volunteers without whom we can't have trials ! ☺️
This has been such an incredible journey for us ! All the tear-jerkers 😢, buzzer beaters ⏱, head-bangers 🤦‍♀️ and jaw-droppers 😱 along the way...the learning curve that has led to some amazing teamwork 🐾 👣 with my beautiful Vi! 🦈 💜
She is one of 19 Rottweilers in the country to have this prestigious title!!!
Looking forward to the next part of our journey!
