Woodbrook Hunt Club The oldest hunt club West of the Mississippi River! At the Woodbrook Hunt Club, we strive to maintain the traditions of riding to hounds. We are a drag hunt.

We sport the scarlet and black coats that you see in the old hunt prints. We keep 13 or more couple of American Foxhounds in our kennels. Hounds are hunted by our Huntsman and assisted by several Whippers-In. We also have a clubhouse for "hunt breakfasts" and other social gatherings, a formal Hunt Ball, summer hunter paces and an annual Hunter Trials Horse Show. No animals are harmed in our hunting activities. Humans (on foot) run ahead of the riders and hounds to lay a scent for the hounds to follow.

On Saturday, October 17th, we're celebrating our 100th Anniversary with not one, not two but THREE events in one day! For those new to showing, there's 10 morning classes in an enclosed arena on the hunt field! Our popular Hunter Pace will run all day, western riders welcome, and you can show as well as pace! The Hunter Trials' eight classes are open to hunters and jumpers; watch pairs (2 riders) and teams (3 riders) jump a very handy course, and the Derbies combine a classic hunter course of 6-8 jumps immediately followed by a handy course of 4-6 jumps for a total of 12 obstacles! Also we'd love donations to the club as well to help support our hardworking hounds, especially used hunt clothing for kids and adults!
