🐾✨ BREED SPOTLIGHT: THE BORZOI ✨🐾

Elegant and graceful, meet Nimue the Borzoi!💜

Originally bred in Russia as hunting sighthounds, Borzois are known for their long, narrow heads, incredible speed, and beautiful flowing coats. Despite their athletic background, they’re often calm, gentle dogs who are perfectly happy lounging around the house. 🛋️

🐶 A few fun Borzoi facts:
• They can reach speeds of around 35–40 mph! 💨
• Their name comes from a Russian word meaning “swift” or “fast.”
• They’re part of the sighthound family, meaning they were bred to spot and chase prey using their vision. 👀
• That gorgeous silky coat needs regular brushing to help prevent tangles and matting—especially around the ears, legs and feathering. 🛁✂️
• Borzois tend to have a sweet, sensitive and somewhat independent personality.

And of course… you can’t talk about a Borzoi without mentioning that iconic nose. 😂🤍

🐾 The Spaw 4 Paws Difference 🐾

One-on-One Grooming. Individualized Care. 🧡

At Spaw 4 Paws, we believe grooming should be more than just a haircut. Our salons are built around one-on-one grooming, giving your pup personalized attention from their groomer in a calmer, more comfortable environment.

Because no two dogs are the same, no two grooms should be either!

🐾 One-on-One Care — Your pup receives the individual attention of their groomer throughout their appointment.

🫧 Customized for Your Pup — From shampoos and conditioners to grooming techniques, we choose what best fits your dog’s skin, coat, temperament and individual needs.

✂️ Quality Over Quantity — We’re focused on providing safe, comfortable, quality care—not rushing dogs through an assembly line.

And as we continue to grow, one thing will always remain the same:

Individualized care isn’t an upgrade. It’s our standard. 🐾🧡

That’s the Spaw 4 Paws difference. 🩵

Today we’re celebrating 1 amazing year at our Farmington location! It’s hard to believe how quickly this year has flown by.

We are incredibly thankful for every client who has trusted us with their pups, recommended us to friends and family, left us a kind review, or simply walked through our doors. Your support has allowed us to continue doing what we love every single day. 🐶✂️

A huge thank you to our Farmington team for the love, care, and hard work they put into every pup they groom. We couldn’t do it without them!

🎄🐾 Christmas is only 12 weeks away! 🐾🎄

It may feel early, but for pups on a 6-week grooming schedule, that’s only TWO appointments before Christmas! 😱✂️

The holiday season is one of our busiest times of the year, and appointments fill up FAST. If having your pup fresh, fluffy, and photo-ready for Christmas is important to you, now is the time to plan ahead! ❤️💚

📅 Is your pup’s next appointment—or two—already saved?

Give us a call or book ahead at checkout so you don’t miss out on your preferred holiday grooming spot! 🎅🏼🐶✨

(A lot of our groomers have been taken off online booking to save spots for requests, so if you don't see your groomer listed online, just give the salon a call and they can help you book your next appointments)

Christmas countdown is officially ON! 🎄🐾

🐾 Have you noticed a familiar face around our Apple Valley salon?! 👀🧡

We’re SO excited to officially say… ANNIKA IS BACK! 🎉🐶✂️

Annika was part of the Spaw 4 Paws team back in 2023 before she moved out of state. Now she’s back in Minnesota AND back with the Spaw 4 Paws family! 🧡🐾

We couldn’t be happier to have her back behind the grooming table at our Apple Valley location, doing what she loves and seeing some familiar furry faces again — along with meeting plenty of new ones!

Please help us give Annika a BIG welcome back! 🥰

Welcome home, Annika! We missed you! 🐾🧡

Have a new puppy? Don’t wait until they need a full haircut to introduce them to grooming! 🐶✂️

Short, positive introductory visits can help puppies become comfortable with bathing, dryers, nail trims, brushing and handling. Building that routine early can make future appointments easier for everyone!

A puppy’s first grooming visits aren’t just about the haircut—they’re about building trust, confidence and positive salon habits that can last a lifetime.

Short introductory visits help your puppy become comfortable with:

🐾 Being handled
🐾 The sound of clippers and dryers
🐾 Brushing and combing
🐾 Nail trimming
🐾 Standing safely on the grooming table
🐾 Building a relationship with their groomer

Starting early and maintaining a regular schedule can make future appointments calmer and more enjoyable for everyone. 🧡

Have a new puppy? Ask us when they should schedule their first Spaw 4 Paws visit!
