Update- They finally allowed a rescue to pull him. Details in the comments. Let's follow along and see how it goes.

They kill the dog at 4pm today. With a long list of people volunteering all of the resources necessary. The effort they put into killing this dog could have easily saved his life. We'll dig a little deeper and see what happens. They're already doing damage control and deleting the original posts and comments. I have very little faith that they'll allow this dog to be saved.

Spay abort. Why I never did it.

I didn't get into rescue to kill dogs. The end.

I had homes for every pup before they were 16 weeks old. Puppies are easy to find homes for. We don't have an over population problem, we have an irresponsible owner problem. This dog was 1 of several that showed up pregnant, with a male partner.
This is when I was officially @$$Hole deep.

"But that doesn't prove anything." Something I hear a lot.

Ironically, now I'm being criticized for being too light handed. Oh how times change, right? 😆

A picture is worth 1000 words. If you know what you're looking at. Do your research on the Patterdale Terrier. Look at her face. This is a certied killer, not a fairy tale. No e-collar, no leash, no problem. Because I said "No". (And ONLY because I said no.) This photo is pulled from 1 of several videos if you're curious to see the context.

If I can handle real killers with a light hand and with low level e-collar stim, then why cant you handle the reactive house pet or the resource guarding Doodle the same way? Please explain to a guy like me, why you have to strangle and body slam dogs to gain "influence " over them? I have a theory, but maybe I shouldn't say it out loud.

Ever noticed how trends swing back and forth? We finally pretty much put an end to the force free nonsense, and now all I see is these yank and crank as****es that just smash the dog into submission. 1 extreme straight to the other.

People are strange folks. They put so much more effort into staying ignorant than it would take to actually learn the craft.

Best story ever. How we got Brock.

Looking back through old material I noticed I have a lot of brown dogs. 😅 This is an old redbone c**n hound mix that we got from a neighbor when we first moved down here. How we got him is still talked about 10 years later.

Brock ran loose and wasn't aggressive nor friendly to anyone. He just did his thing and ignored you. My son comes inside 1 day and tells me he played with Brock while he was outside. Shortly after that, we get a couple of pups of our own, and Brock comes over to play with them. Now he starts to give us some attention too.

At times, his owner would put tie him up for a week because he was leaving the yard too much. 1 early morning I hear a commotion on my porch and it's a savage animalistic noise followed by a man yelling. I looked out my window just in time to see Brock chasing his owner out of my yard. The guy falls, cusses, throws a bucket at the dog and went back home.

That evening he pulls up with Brock on a rope in his backseat. Says "Man I'm about to go drop him off on a road somewhere. Unless you want him." Of course I said yes and let Brock out of the car. Turned him into a house dog and we loved his goofy ass.

This story has no real point unless you can mentally picture a 70 year old black man in a bath robe, at 6am, running from his own dog and chucking a mop bucket... yelling "Well FK you then" 😂😂😂 My wife and I laughed til I peed. That old man and I stayed friends for several years after and he even started to chuckle about it when I'd mention it.

And everyone lived happily ever after. The End.
