We hear it all when it comes to spay and neuter myths, but let's set the record straight!

❌ "My pet should have one litter first."
❌ "Spaying or neutering will change my pet's personality."
❌ "My indoor pet doesn't need to be spayed or neutered."

The facts? Spaying and neutering can help pets live longer, healthier lives by reducing the risk of certain cancers and other health conditions. It also helps prevent unexpected litters and reduces pet overpopulation in our community.

Have any Backyard Cats that need to be spayed? Take advantage of our $35 Backyard Cat spay/neuter promo while funding lasts! Please note cats must arrive in traps during our drop off of 7:00am – 7:30am.

Spaying and neutering leads to healthier pets and stronger communities 🐾

Is your pet constantly scratching, licking their paws, or developing red, irritated skin? Skin allergies are one of the most common reasons pets visit the veterinarian.

Allergies can be caused by environmental factors like pollen and grass, fleas, or even certain foods. If you notice persistent itching or skin irritation, don't wait - early treatment can help keep your pet comfortable and prevent secondary infections 🐾

Don't leave their safety up to chance! From now through November 30, microchips are now 25% OFF at our clinic 🐾

A collar can slip off, but for just $15, a microchip provides permanent identification that can help reunite lost pets with their families. It's quick, affordable, and could make all the difference if your pet ever goes missing!

Because the only thing better than a happy tail wag is a happy reunion ❤️

WARNING: A dangerous outbreak of Panleukopenia (Panleuk) is affecting cats across Central Florida. This highly contagious and often deadly virus attacks a cat’s immune system and spreads quickly, especially among kittens and unvaccinated cats.

Common symptoms include:
🐾 Vomiting
🐾 Diarrhea
🐾 Loss of appetite
🐾 Fever
🐾 Extreme lethargy
🐾 Dehydration

Panleuk can survive in the environment for months and spreads through contact with infected cats, surfaces, bedding, food bowls, and even shoes or clothing.

The best protection is VACCINATION. Vaccinating your cats — even indoor cats — can save their lives and help stop the spread of this devastating disease. If your cat is not up to date, contact your veterinarian or reach out to SPCA Florida Veterinary Clinic as soon as possible.

Please help protect our community cats, shelter cats, and your own furry family members. 💙🐱

Summer is right around the corner, and warmer days are already starting to roll in ☀️ Keep tails wagging and whiskers happy with plenty of fresh water, access to shade, and indoor cool-down breaks during warmer afternoons. And before heading out for walks, give the pavement a quick touch test, if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for paws 🐾

Ever go outside and realize your dog has suddenly decided they’re part lawn mower? 🐶 Dogs may snack on grass for several reasons - curiosity, boredom, taste, or even a mildly upset stomach.

While occasional grazing usually isn’t a cause for concern, if your pup is making grass-eating their newest hobby or showing signs like vomiting or acting differently, it may be worth checking in with your veterinarian!
