We are at the WVC Conference in Nashville! CE is not only a professional requirement for DVMs and LVTs but also a big passion of ours. We love to learn and are constantly trying to make sure we know the latest updates in medicine to better serve our patients.

Lakeland Animal Hospital will be closed on Friday, July 3rd in observance of Independence Day. We will reopen with normal business hours on Monday.

🐾 Please plan ahead!
• Pick up prescription refills before Friday so your pet doesn't run out of medication.
• If your pet experiences firework anxiety, don't wait until the last minute—contact us before Friday to discuss medications or refill anxiety prescriptions.

Holiday Pet Safety Tips
* Keep barbecue foods away from pets. Fatty meats, bones, corn cobs, onions, grapes, chocolate, alcohol, and xylitol-containing treats can all be dangerous.

* With the summer heat, be sure your pets have plenty of fresh water, shade, and avoid prolonged outdoor activity during the hottest parts of the day.

* Check ID tags and microchip information. More pets go missing around the Fourth of July than almost any other time of year.
