Is your pet acting differently? It might not be "bad behavior"—it could be pain. 🐾

Our pets can’t tell us when they hurt, so they show us through their actions. A sudden change in their normal routine or personality is often their only way of crying for help. 🐶🐱

Look out for these subtle warning signs:
👉 Hiding or avoiding family interaction.
👉 Aggression when touched or approached.
👉 Changes in sleeping or eating habits.
👉 Reluctance to jump, climb, or play.
👉 Excessive grooming or licking one spot.

You know your pet best. If their behavior feels off, trust your gut and schedule a checkup with your veterinarian.

Let's look out for our furry family members! ❤️

☀️ Beat the Heat: Keep Your Pets Cool & Safe! ☀️

As the weather warms up, it’s important to remember that our pets feel the heat even more than we do! Heatstroke can happen quickly and is a serious medical emergency.

Keep your furry friends cool with these 4 tips:
💧 Stay Hydrated: Always provide plenty of fresh, cool water.
🌳 Monitor Temperature: Limit outdoor time to the cooler parts of the day (early morning or late evening).
🐾 Watch the Pavement: If the pavement is too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws!
🚗 Never Leave Pets in Cars: Even with the windows cracked, temperatures can reach dangerous levels in minutes.

Know the signs of overheating: excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, or vomiting.

If you suspect heatstroke, contact us immediately! 📞🆘

🛡️ May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month! 🛡️

As the weather warms up, so do the ticks! Lyme disease is a serious illness that can affect both our pets and our families. The good news? It’s highly preventable!

Here are 3 ways to keep your pet safe:

1️⃣ Prevention: Use a vet-recommended flea and tick preventative year-round.
2️⃣ Check: Do a thorough "tick check" after every walk, especially in wooded or grassy areas.
3️⃣ Protect: Keep your yard tidy and talk to us about the Lyme vaccine if your pet is at high risk.

Is your pet protected? Give us a call to discuss the best prevention plan for your furry friend! 📞✨

Heads up, pet parents! ⚠️

We’ve seen an uptick in Giardia cases, especially in dogs who frequent parks, daycare, or shared outdoor spaces.

Giardia is a common intestinal parasite that can cause tummy troubles like diarrhea, weight loss, and decreased appetite—but the good news is it’s easy to test and treat when caught early.

Call us if you notice any of these symptoms!

They can’t tell us where it hurts, but a wellness check can! 🐾💡

Is it time for your pet's wellness check? Annual exams are the cornerstone of a long, happy life. Most adult pets need a checkup once a year, while seniors (7+) benefit from a visit every six months to stay ahead of age-related changes.
