All About the RAT

AKC ACT 1 and 2, Standard and Jumpers being offered at Imperial Polk Obedience Club this Saturday, September 5, 2026

Two rounds of each class being offered. You could earn multiple titles by 2 passes per class.

Your dog DOES NOT need an AKC registration number to enter. AKC will issue a temporary number when the results are entered. That number would be used for any further AKC ACT testing.

New title certificates, signed by the judge will be awarded. Certificates donated by Kathy Marble-Brown.

We are expecting a fun and excited crowd.

Come run at IPOC with cold AC.

We are accepting pre-entries and day of.

And it's a wrap for the AKC FETCH testing today held at Imperial Polk Obedience Club, hosted by Kathy Marble-Brown

We had a great turn out with lots of success!

Thank you to Jen Wolfgang and Colleen Dickerson for all your help the last two days. Lisa Rose for keeping all the paperwork straight and the ring moving and the volunteers that stepped up to help in the ring. Workers are always appreciated!

Deborah Salerno and I had a great time judges some amazing teams.

Barn Hunt Workshops and practice sessions will continue as we get closer to the cooler weather. Lessons that are currently booked will not change unless the weather forces me to cancel.

Lesson time blocks will be expanded to more slots in the mornings on Thursday and Friday as October arrives.

The heat has been ridiculously crazy this year. My main concern is the wellbeing of the rats, dogs and humans (in that order) 😁

With that said, I have been forced to make the decision to cancel lessons on several occasions this month due to the heat.

If you send me a message, and for some reason I fail to answer, hey, send me another. I do lead a very busy life and never intend on ignoring anybody.

Off the Barn Hunt subject, I am offering another Beginner Scent Work Course that is presented via Facebook. The course will start September 14. Stay indoors and train something fun!
