Beautiful kitty Ghost has one green eye and one blue eye caused by a genetic trait called heterochromia. 👀

Did you know that:
🤍 Heterochromia is more common in all-white cats
🩵 All cats are born with blue eyes. As they grow, melanin (pigment) moves into the eyes to give them their adult color
🤍 Cats with two different colored eyes have a genetic trait that blocks melanin from reaching the eye, leaving one blue
🩵 All-white cats are also at a higher risk of congenital deafness

Ghost was a very good girl for her appointment and we can’t wait to see her beautiful self again the next time she needs us! 😻
