Rise Up, Sing Out is a nationwide day of action and celebration taking place on June 14. Communities across the country will come together on the anniversary of No Kings and Flag Day to celebrate the nation we love. Through local gatherings, music, art, and a national livestream concert, participants will honor First Amendment freedoms and strengthen the relationships that power long-term organizing.

Indivisible Polk Florida will host a local watch party at Kitty Cat Lounge from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Bring a chair and join us in the parking lot for an ice cream social as we come together to celebrate our community and the power of people working together.

Come celebrate, build community, and be part of something bigger. We hope to see you there!

The café will be open throughout the event, with additional drinks and snacks available for purchase.

🎶🍦 Rise Up, Sing Out at Kitty Cat Lounge! 🍦🎶

Join us on Sunday, June 14, from 7–9 PM for a special community watch party of Rise Up, Sing Out: A Concert for the First Amendment.

We’ll gather outside for an old-fashioned ice cream social while livestreaming this inspiring event featuring Jane Fonda, Patti Smith, Bette Midler, Rufus Wainwright, Joy Reid, Wilson Cruz, Broadway Inspirational Voices, and more!

Bring a chair, dress for the Florida heat, and come enjoy an evening of music, community, creativity, and plenty of ice cream as we celebrate the freedoms of speech, religion, press, assembly, and protest.

Whether you’re a longtime activist or simply curious to learn more, everyone is welcome. Let’s come together, connect with neighbors, and celebrate the power of community.

Picture this- You walk into the cat room and the first thing you see is a little tabby curled up into a perfect ball on the cat tree.

You reach out to pet her, she makes that little activation "Brrrrt!", and opens bright, emerald green eyes.

You notice that her head is slightly too small for her chubby body as she swivels her noggin around for more pets.

Countess is a very sweet and affectionate girl. While she's not a lap cat, she adores head and chest scritches. She can usually be found stealing treats from other cats or pouncing on them as they come out of the litter room.

Come meet her and see if she's your perfect match! She can't wait to find her furrever home to spend her days napping on a sunny window sill in.

Parents of older kiddos and teens… what are they doing this summer? ☀️🐱

We still have openings in ALL of our older kids camps, and we’d love to spend part of the summer with them! From kitty cuddles and creative activities to making new friends, camp at Kitty Cat Lounge is a purr-fect way to spend a week. 💛

Meanwhile, our younger kid camps are filling up FAST! We only have two weeks that aren’t completely sold out.

Although we’re celebrating Pride Month all 30 days of the month we are uplifting our LGBTQIA+ friends during Trivia Night on June 17th with a special theme: The History of Drag! 🌈✨

🎨 Cats & Clay returns on the first Sunday of the month with the incredibly talented Austin Snedden! Guests will glaze an original Austin Snedden pottery piece and take it home after it’s fired.

🧘 Self-Care Sunday happens TWICE this month with Kayla! Enjoy relaxing yin yoga followed by a warm minty tea blended by Lakeland’s own tea house, My Cottage Garden.

🧶 Yarn Addicts meet weekly, rotating between Saturdays and Sundays. Bring your latest project, settle into our living room, and spend the day creating, chatting, and relaxing.

🎭 Our entertainment lineup is purr-fect as always:
• Creatures of the Night (18+ Drag Show) – First Wednesday, hosted by Momento Mori
• Sunset Showtime (All-Ages Variety Show) – Third Friday, also hosted by Momento Mori

Hey, kitty girl! On June 17th, it’s time to lace up your boots 👢 and paint your face 💋 because this trivia’s going to be a real drag!

Hosted by the (locally) famous Butch Wellington, this month’s trivia theme is: The History Of Drag Queens and Kings. From David Bowie to RuPaul to Murry Hill, we dive deep into the history of the artform and spectacle that is drag. With prizes for top trivia experts and our cats eager to tip you in cuddles, you won’t want to miss out!
