I know this isn’t a horse post but we sure do love goats! But what about quality boer goats?! Take a moment to check out my friends page and see what they are doing with their breeding program. High quality boers aren’t easy to find but she is offering some of the best here in upstate NY. And if you love color, she including dapples, she’s got it!

We’d love your help growing Melbria Farm!
We’re incredibly proud of the herd we’re building and love sharing our Boer goats, new kids, show results, and everyday farm life with all of you.

If you enjoy following our page, would you take a second to share this post? Every share helps introduce Melbria Farm to new people and helps our little farm reach a bigger audience.

Thank you to everyone who follows, comments, shares, and supports us, it truly means more than you know!

FISH MT FARMS NEVER FORGET
(Covergirls The Countryboy Bachelor X Hopkins Poker Chip Princess)
NSPPR/PtHA registration pending
Expected mature height, 34”

This flaming red head, Ophelia, was foaled 9/11/2026 and is up for discussion! She will be weaned middle of February. I am pretty positive she will eventually gray out and turn white like her dam and sire. She was bred and moves for classic pleasure driving and has the beauty and elegance to be a halter prospect. She is very up headed with a lot of high knee action and moves just like her 3x world champion classic pleasure driving dam. When she turns 3, I’d love to see her get hardshipped into AMHA/ AMHR as I think she could be a serious show pony. The personality on this girl is sassy, but eager for attention. Typical red head!

Hopkins Poker Chip Princess is her dam, a 34” bay pinto gone gray. She is a 3x world classic pleasure driving mare, and a 1x reserve world classic pleasure driving mare. She is sired by the well known, Ravenwood/Caldwells Poker Chip, whom is a World Grand Champion Classic Pleasure Driving stallion and a National Grand Champion Producer. Her dam, Ravenwood Dominate The Ring, is a World Reserve Champion Halter Mare.

Her Sire, Covergirls The Country Boy Bachelor, is a 33.25” gray stallion whom was successfully shown locally in halter. He also won Grand Champion Classic Country Driving stallion at the Sunshine Horse Show Series in 2021. Bachelor is a grandson to First Knights Billy Idol and a great grandson to Champion Farms Nighthawk.

Photos a little blurry as I was running over trying to get a pic of Baby George eating. He’s beautiful. He will be hitting the ring at the Elmira, NY show October 4.

Auntie Jacoba taking on dinner responsibilities with her two nephews, while their mothers duke it out at the round bale. She is such a great safety zone for the littles!

She has a name! We are calling this little girl, Ophelia…..Trying to get photos of this busy body is nearly impossible. I almost had some perfect shots until her mother set the alarm that the feather duster might be bad, lol.

Turn your volume up if you wanna hear her little squeals! Lol

Finally got the new baby out side. Gosh she is beautiful and can move. I have some still shots of her but I’ll do another post with a couple videos. She luckily looks a lot like her dam and moves like her too!

I have the papers to this buck so if someone wants him with papers, I have them in my name so easily can be transferred. Super nice boy!
