PAWsitive Effects, Inc. PAWsitive Effects, Inc. is a non profit organization creating ways to help Animals and the Rescue Groups that are committed to saving them.

was created to bring awareness to our local community of resources for pet adoption, animal care and spay/neuter importance. Using means of fundraising, donations and special adoption events all contribute to money raised and donated directly back to local non for profits animal rescue groups. It is our hope that this additional money helps with the day to day expenses of supplies, food and medical treatment needed to get these animals ready for adoption. We focus on PAWsitive ways to promote adoption, education and assistance for our community to help with their pets to prevent surrenders, poor pet care and irresponsible ownership. We assist the Rescues and Shelters with promotion of adoptable animals through social media and campaigns of adoption. Encouraging the community to donate, foster and adopt helps relieve these Rescue Groups and makes room to save more animals that find themselves in high kill shelters, homeless or in the wrong hands.

Not every dog gets equal attention at the shelter. 🐾

First impressions on the adoption floor often dictate who gets noticed first, but the factors that make a dog "harder to adopt" in a high-stress shelter usually have nothing to do with how wonderful they’ll be once they're home.

From lighting challenges and unfair breed stereotypes to sheer size or kennel anxiety, so many incredible dogs are left waiting simply because of things outside their control.

Before your next shelter visit, and consider giving one of these underdogs a second look—they often turn out to be the most devoted companions you could ever ask for. ❤️

Please consider adopting one or two of these gorgeous dogs with a very special adoption fee being offered by Animal Services.

Unfortunately the gorgeous 5 dogs that we brought to Barktoberfest did not get adopted. So Highlands County Animal Services wants to still honor the special adoption price that they were at Barktoberfest.
Each one will have an adoption fee of $25 and they can go home with you that day!!!
Come meet Amias, Chong, Bon Bon, OBX & Spud!!!!!
