BARKTOBERFEST is held on the first Saturday of October from 10 to 3 at Stuart Park in Lake Placid Florida. and is designed to create awareness of the adoption resources locally while educating the importance of spay/neuter and good animal care. This years activities include pet photographs, pet blessing, micro chipping, pet costume contest, plush toy adoptions and face p
ainting for kids along with music and food and so much more. There are several pet related vendors with merchandise for pets and people with pets. The participating non for profit Rescues and Shelters bring a selection dogs and cats for adoption and work with you individually to help you with the adoption process and finding the right pet for you and your family. There are several wonderful raffle prizes along with a pet food and supply drive for FREE raffle tickets. All donations and money raised as well as donated items are equally divided up and given to the participating Rescues. In the past, our success with adoptions and raising money has helped these committed rescues with the care of these animals and allows a chance for these precious animals to find a forever home! Fun for the whole family and their leashed pets!
