UPDATE: Dottie Boy has found a home! šŸ’™I’m so happy for this cutie patootie!!!!

This is Dottie Boy...
His cute nose explains his name. He'll be 1 y.o. in April. Dottie Boy was TNR'd in August 2025. For the past 4 months he comes in & out of the first floor window of the woman home who trapped him. Elaina has cared for him over these past several months and describes Dottie Boy as very friendly (never scratched, hissed or bit) anything or anyone. However, she is moving by March 15th and cannot take him with her. 😪 Elaina is looking for someone who is willing to foster or better yet adopt this sweet boy.
If you are interested in learning more about Dottie Boy please reach out to Elaina at 914 534 1612. Please share this post. As always, thank you in advance.

So tomorrow is Putnam AdvoCATS, Inc. 10 year anniversary!!!! During this past decade, we have TNR’d 1,957 cats and adopted out an additional 572 kittens and/or cats to loving forever homes!!!! Additionally, between 2012 and 2015, working under the Feral Cat Task Force (before we became our own non profit charitable organization) an additional 473 cats were TNR’d and 84 kittens were adopted out.

We are 100% volunteer run and have had numerous, behind the scenes and never mentioned individuals, without whom our success could not happen. We are grateful and honored to be an integral part of saving so many felines in our community. It takes a villageā™„ļø

Thank you to all those who have contributed to our success over the many years we have been involved in rescue. We love what we do and couldn’t do it without you! Stay warm and stay safe during the continuing winter weather.

And please, if you are able, financially support our mission of love.

Meet Buddy! He’s about 8-10 years old and has had a pretty rough go of it. He’s a sweet, cuddly
orange marshmallow who was found living in a crawl space of someone’s home. When the home owner heard his cries for help through the walls, he reached out. Buddy is in need of some medical attention for his ears and teeth (which we are addressing). Unfortunately, it seems that he lost much of his ears suffering from hematomas caused by ear mites and he also needs some teeth pulled. The good news is that what Buddy lacks in ears, he makes up for in personality! Though living on the street was rough for him, Buddy doesn’t hold it against anyone. He is a total cuddle bug and wants to follow you wherever you go, and talk while he’s doing it. He is curious and outgoing. If you are interested in giving this big orange sweetheart a second chance, please text Izzy at
(914) 482-8283. Please share. šŸ’™

Buddy’s care is going to be fairly costly. If you’d like to make a donation, we would greatly appreciate your support.

A cat stuck in a drainage pipe in front of the Marshall's store in Brewster has been rescued.

The cat was first reported to be stuck early Wednesday evening by store employees. After 2 days of frigid temperatures and diligent efforts by the Brewster Fire Department, Evans Electric Snake and Drain Service and volunteers with Putnam AdvoCATS, Inc. (namely Kathleen Sutherland) the cat was rescued Friday night.

Kathleen said the cat was cold, wet, dirty and hungry, but otherwise in good health. She is friendly and remains in foster care with Kathleen until hopefully, she is reunited with her owner. Please share the post and if you know anyone missing their gray and white, female tabby, please text Kathleen at 914-629-0738.

Electric Snake and Drain Service (who were instrumetal in the rescue) is a family-owned business that provides sewer and drain cleaning. They offer emergency services and are known for being licensed, insured, and reliable. They were not paid for their services and responded to the call for help without delay.

Putnam AdvoCATS thanks our volunteers, the Brewster Fire Dept., and the guys at Electric Snake!!! Y’all are awesome!!!!
