2026 has been tough. No snow=Rough Summer. Its sad to see our creeks run so low and our usually luscious pastures turn brown and dry up. We cut our cattle numbers down for the year and feel blessed that we can still run cattle at all when many others cant. Praying for rain. We are ok with fire, luckily, but the smoke is rough!

What a wonderful time we had sharing about Mountain Men and Cowboys with Lake County Intermediate School’s 4th graders! They loved getting their hands on the hides we brought down and tack! We love sharing our knowledge! Thanks for the invite Ash Warner , Cloud City Conservation Center.

We were featured in the local newspaper this week and would like to make sure all of our current and future customers are aware that our cattle are, and always have been, sourced locally in the ARKANSAS VALLEY……not Arkansas. Our cattle are born and raised here in the high country. We have contacted The Leadville Herald Democrat to let them know about their mistake.
