Dogs have sophisticated whiskers

👀🐶 Those little whiskers aren’t just there to make your dog look distinguished.

They’re called vibrissae — specialized hairs that are deeply rooted and packed with touch-sensitive neurons.

They help dogs detect things close to their face and act somewhat like an early-warning system.

So when your pup’s whiskers twitch…

They’re not just being cute.

They’re collecting information.

Tiny facial sensors. Big job. 🐾

Treating your furry family members doesn’t always have to look like food, it can be enrichment time which can look different for all pets.

Davey here likes to play with strings, but he also enjoys quality time with you like bird watching. 😺

Wagging our tails this Wednesday for soaking up some sunshine!☀️

Sunshine gives us warmth and big smiles from our furry friends.

The sun also provides a light that releases serotonin AND helps our fur-babies bodies to release beta-endorphins which aids with any physical discomfort such as aches in the joints.🐾
