I was asked what it's like to be among dozens of dogs running free. A video is better than words. How'd your dog spend their day?

To those who have texted, posted, called, emailed, or spoken to me in person about my dad's passing, there are no words to express my gratitude except thank you. It has been wonderful and healing to hear anecdotes about him over the last few days.

There will be no dog daycare at BARK on August 21st or August 27th. Overnights will run as normal. Thanks to my owners for their understanding. It's greatly appreciated.

A very bittersweet day at BARK on Monday. I had 50 dogs here yesterday, which is a new personal best, but yet lost the man that made this whole thing possible- my dad, Dave Bremer, who passed away early yesterday morning. Helicopter and airplane pilot, skydiver, SCUBA diver (he was the oldest diver ever at the dive shop he used to dive on the great barrier reef in his 70s), deputy sheriff. He's the one who brought the menagerie that I grew up with into my life. My mom had never had anything more exciting than Siamese cats until she married my dad. Then came lions, monkeys, otter, deer, Llama, and a lot of other creatures. That instilled in me a permanent love for animals that is embodied in what I do at BARK. He used to love to visit the dogs here when he was still able, and I've been fortunate to be able to bring daycare dogs to visit him as he declined. He and my mom loved watching the developments as BARK progressed from an idea on a napkin to a 9 acre boarding/ daycare facility. Without their emotional and financial support, BARK would've never happened. Thanks for everything you've done for me, Papa. I miss you and love you, and will forever be thankful that you were my dad. If i can be a quarter of the person you were, I'll be happy. I'm sure mema was waiting for you at the gates when you arrived- I'll see you both again someday.
