Could Your Pet’s Collar Be a Hidden Danger?

It’s something your pet wears every day, but did you know a collar can sometimes lead to a serious emergency?

⚠️ Collars can get caught on crates, fences, or furniture.

🐕 Rough play can cause another dog’s jaw to become tangled in a collar.

⚠️ Collars that are too tight or too loose can cause injuries.

✅ Pet Safety Tip: Check your pet’s collar regularly to ensure a proper fit, and always supervise playtime with other dogs.

LAUNDRY ROOM DANGERS FOR PETS 🧺
Your laundry room may seem harmless, but it can hide serious hazards for curious pets.

⚠️ Watch out for:
• Detergent pods
• Dryer sheets
• Bleach and cleaning products
• Open washers and dryers

Even a small exposure can be dangerous and may lead to vomiting, drooling, breathing trouble, or more serious complications.

🍄WILD MUSHROOMS: A HIDDEN DANGER IN LOUISIANA!

After a good Louisiana rain, wild mushrooms can pop up overnight in yards, parks, and grassy areas. While many are harmless, some can be extremely toxic to pets!

🚨 Signs of mushroom poisoning may include:
🐾 Vomiting or diarrhea
🐾 Excessive drooling
🐾 Weakness or difficulty walking
🐾 Tremors or seizures

⚠️ Some poisonous mushrooms can cause serious liver or kidney damage, and symptoms may not appear right away.

If your pet eats a wild mushroom, don't wait for symptoms!
Seek veterinary care immediately.

From snakes and toads to stinging insects and other wildlife, an unexpected encounter can quickly become a veterinary emergency.

🚨 DID YOU KNOW? WE CARRY SNAKE ANTIVENOM!

At Pet Emergency Clinic, we stock MG Biologics Rattler Antivenom to help treat dogs suffering from venomous snakebites.

⚠️ If you suspect your pet has been bitten by a venomous snake:
