We are looking for a passionate Veterinary Assistant with at least 1–2 years of clinical experience. 🐶🐱

You will support our veterinary team, assist in patient care, and ensure a clean, safe environment for our clients and pets.

Key Responsibilities
- Patient Handling: Restrain animals safely during exams and medical procedures.
- Clinical Support: Assist veterinarians and technicians with blood draws, x-rays, and treatments.
- Facility Care: Maintain cleanliness in exam rooms, treatment areas, and kennels.
- Client Service: Greet clients, update medical records, and explain basic post-care instructions.
- Lab Support: Prepare samples and run basic in-house lab tests.

🎆 Don’t Wait Until the First Boom! 🐾

The 4th of July is just around the corner!

While we look forward to the celebrations, the loud noises and bright flashes of fireworks can be terrifying for our furry friends.

If your pet suffers from noise anxiety, now is the time to request their anxiety medication refills or schedule an exam with us here at Moss Bluff Animal Hospital. Please do not wait until the last minute!

Why call us this week?
- High Demand: Our pharmacy and staff get incredibly busy leading up to the holiday.

- Processing Time: We require 24 to 48 hours to process all prescription refill requests.

- Exam Requirements: Law requires a current exam (within the past year) to dispense prescription medications. If your pet is overdue, appointment slots are filling up fast!

- Trial Runs: Getting medications early allows you to do a "test dose" before the actual holiday to ensure it works perfectly for your pet.

- Keep pets indoors in a secure, quiet room with the curtains closed.
- Double-check that your pet’s collar, tags and microchip contact details are up to date in case they get scared and bolt.

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We are incredibly grateful for their service and sacrifice.
