Autumn has some very big feelings about the world around her. She’s also already completed training somewhere else, but the reactivity remained.

We see this more often than you’d think. Knowing commands isn’t the same as fixing the problem that made you seek help in the first place.

Now Autumn is in day training with us, learning that she doesn’t have to act on every feeling she has. She may be calm here, but she definitely still has opinions. 😂

Delicious food is even better when the dogs can come along and the evening is still relaxing.

Xena and Cael spent dinner at Main Street Meats resting comfortably in their down stays and enjoying the evening right along with us.

Last sessions are always bittersweet. 🥹

Cael and his owners have worked so hard, and watching this boy put it all together made us incredibly proud. Way to go, buddy! 💙

Some puppies are naturally easy.

Iris is not one of them. 😂 She’s a lot and thankfully about 80% past her shark-attack era. 🦈

Day Training is giving all that intensity direction so Iris and her family can enjoy life together now, while building the skills they’ll rely on for years.

We are incredibly proud to see K9 Freedom Pathways featured by FOX56 WOLF TV!

What began as a way to use our training experience to help dogs who needed more has grown into something so much bigger and a dream come true. We cannot wait to see where Pathways goes next. ❤️🐾

Starr Chumard loves dogs, and after a decade of training them, she decided she wanted to help the ones deemed unadoptable.“Sometimes it can be self-harming if t

Pathways was born from K9 Freedom and one of the most important things I have ever built, and finding it a permanent home is the biggest step we have taken yet. If you believe in us and the work we do, please help us make it possible by donating or sharing. 🐾

There are already dogs waiting for the kind of help Pathways was created to provide. We have the ability to help them, but we have reached the limit of what our current space can support.

So, we are taking a very big step. We have launched a fundraiser to raise the first $50,000 toward a permanent property for K9 Freedom Pathways. We have built something special here. We take the dogs that shelters and rescues desperately want to help but may not have the space, training, or resources to handle. We bring them into our home, do the work, and take the time to find the right forever home while preparing everyone to succeed. We know how to help these dogs. Now we need room to do it.

This goal feels enormous because it is, and we cannot reach it alone. Donations matter, but so do shares, introductions, sponsors, and connections. The person who helps change the future of Pathways may only find us because someone shared this post.

If you believe in what we are building, please help us take the next step.

First day fit: vest, leash, and a very serious school face. 📚🐾

Nala is back in Bear Country! I’m enjoying spending part of the week at school with Nala and Parker while they get comfortable with their new routine.

Wish this team a great year! 🐻

Different puppies. Same negotiation tactic. 😂

Flip over, look adorable, and convince the trainer that belly rubs are far more urgent than whatever we were working on.

Noone tell Chief and Cornbread that we own more than one spot. 😂
