Little body. HUGE heart. Littlefoot. Meet our 13-year-old gentleman, Littlefoot. This 16 lb. Jack Russell Terrier is prepared to prance into your home with all the love he has to give you. Littlefoot can be shy when first meeting you, but take him on a walk, and he will show you the cutest prance as he frolics through the grass.

He is looking for a human friend that will allow him to take the time he needs to get comfortable with you and his new environment. Littlefoot would thrive in a quiet home without children and would prefer to be an only pet.

Littlefoot is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and flea/tick preventatives, and has tested negative for heartworm.

Come visit him at our Lahaska location, no appointment needed! https://buckscountyspca.org/pets/littlefoot/

PA Kennel License: Lahaska #1401, Quakertown #7508.

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Quakertown Shelter Open House on Saturday to learn more about the work of the Bucks County SPCA and support our shelter animals! We enjoyed seeing the happy faces of several alumni shelter dogs who came back to visit and meeting many new friends and neighbors.

Congratulations to those who adopted a new companion during the event! Cats Otto (pictured), George, and Romeo (now Peter) all found new homes, as did lucky dogs Piper and Sky. Parakeet Azula joined his new flock, er family.

Animal lovers of all ages had fun learning how to scan a pet for a microchip. The enthusiasm at the raffle table was high and helped raise more than $1,200 for the animals! A young woman named Nora delighted us with a delivery of many boxes of Girls Scout cookies donated by Troop 2770 of Quakertown, Perkasie & Souderton. We were touched to learn that the donation was made in memory of 10-year-old Lily Tomlinson who passed away last year. BCSPCA was a chosen recipient because Lily was an animal lover. ❤

We are honored to be part of a community that loves animals as much as we do. It was a pleasure welcoming everyone to tour the Quakertown shelter and clinic and see first-hand the impact of the work you make possible when you support your local animal shelter.

All proceeds from this annual event directly support the broad programs and services our two shelters provide to people and pets across Bucks County. Thanks again to our generous sponsors who support the animals and help make this free event accessible to all.

How could you resist her adorable white toes, fluffy white chest, and her classic white mustache! This gray tuxedo lady is ready to be your most beautiful family member. Belle can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but with a little time and space (and some treats) she is sure to be your new best friend. https://buckscountyspca.org/pets/belle/

This adorably inquisitive fellow is Haymitch, our 2-year-old working cat. Haymitch is looking for a new employer and he's prepared to put his pest control expertise to use — no job is too great for him. He will thrive in your barn, greenhouse, workshop or other outbuilding.

In exchange for their hard work, all that working cats ask for in return is reliable access to food, water, a cozy place to curl up at the end of each day, and routine vet care. Learn more about working cats: https://buckscountyspca.org/working-cats/

We have had a wonderful string of working cat adoptions and now only have one other working cat available for adoption, Daffodil: https://buckscountyspca.org/available-barn-cats/

The $10 adoption fee for working cats is a great deal! Consider adopting a pair for their benefit and yours.

All of our working cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, FeLV/FIV tested negative, started on flea/tick preventatives, and up to date on vaccinations.

Haymitch and Daffodil are ready for hire at our Quakertown Shelter. Stop by today, no appointment needed.
