*UPDATE- June was adopted, and Kai is on hold!*
Checking in with your weekly kitten fix, it’s 2-month-old Kai (male brown tabby) and June (female black kitten)! These little ones are your classic kittens with three moods: sleepy, cuddly, and playful.

While June and Kai enjoyed their foster dog and adult cat siblings, we do recommend a slow introduction to any other new animals.

Kittens fly out of our shelters quickly! Stop by the Quakertown Shelter to meet these cuties and view our other available cats.

Adoptions are first come, first serve. No appointment needed. All our kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.

Dulce is here with your weekly dose of . This little lady is bound to always give you a smile, and she's as sweet as her namesake. 6-year-old Dulce is curious, friendly, and loves to spend time working on Kongs and other fun food enrichment toys.

While she is a smaller dog at 25 pounds, this French Bulldog may not do well in an apartment since she has a lot to say! Dulce is looking for a home where any children are ages 12 and up, who will respect her space when she asks for it. She would prefer to be the queen of the castle, and at this time Dulce must be your only dog. https://buckscountyspca.org/pets/dulce/

To learn more about how this 'lil pup can make your life sweeter, give us a call at 215-794-7425 and meet Dulce at the Bucks County SPCA in Lahaska. No appointment needed.

Dulce is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines.

This gorgeous girl has been through a lot. 10-year-old Astrid came to the shelter with three other cats when their owner passed away — two of the cats have been adopted. Astrid had a dental procedure done last month and after recovery, she's ready for adoption day. She's been struggling to adjust to the cat room, but after giving her the time and space she needs, Astrid blossoms into a curious cat.

Astrid is waiting to show off her soft side to a patient heart. She is eager to relax and live an easygoing, slow-paced life with you. Astrid will thrive while hanging out with you on a cozy couch or a warm bed. Let's get this sweet senior the retirement she deserves in her golden years! https://buckscountyspca.org/pets/astrid/

Meet Astrid at the Quakertown Shelter and consider adopting today. No appointment needed.

Beatlemania is here! Or shall we say...Birdie-mania? Say hello to our famous Beatles' birdies: George, John, Paul, and Ringo (with those amazing bangs) the finches.

What these small birds lack in size, they make up for in their nature! They happily hop from perch to perch, and while these four won't be able to sing your favorite Beatles' song, they will surely make an adorable assortment of chirps, tweets and trills. They are social birds who enjoy having company of their own kind. For this reason, we ask that they are adopted in pairs or more.

You can meet The Beatles and our 12 other available finches at the Bucks County SPCA in Lahaska: https://buckscountyspca.org/pets/?_species=bird

We are open 12-3 pm weekends, 12-6 pm weekdays. Adoptions end a half hour before closing. No appointment needed.

June has brought us a wonderful 76 adoptions so far!

These are only a few of our animals who found homes this month:

Buster, the 5-month-old Boxer went home to a couple who was eager to adopt him and came in right away when the shelter opened.

Spudz, a 5-year-old Jack Russell Terrier was adopted by a woman who drove 5 hours to the shelter to adopt him!

Bear, a 5-year-old buff tabby gentleman was available for adoption for nearly 5 months, and he finally found his people. Bear and his family truly looked in love with each other on adoption day.

Spike, 1-year-old French Bulldog showed us that no smile is too big, and it's always fun to be the life of the party.

Belle, our sweet senior gray tuxedo — at 13 years old, we know she still has a long life of love with her new dad.

Sunshine is a 7-year-old sweetheart with so much love for humans. He was originally adopted in 2025, and when his owner could no longer care for him due to illness, he needed another special home that could cater to his medical needs.

Ninja, a 2-month-old black kitten found her person. In her foster home, she was known to have a quirk for being sneaky just like a ninja, and hiding in drawers for a catnap.

Happy Tails to all these incredible animals! We are so happy for every animal and adopter for finding new friends in each other.

Stop by the Lahaska or Quakertown Shelter to find your new furry friend. We are open 12-6 pm weekdays, and 12-3 pm weekends. No appointments are required to adopt. Adoptions end a half hour before closing. Browse our 41 animals available for adoption: www.buckscountyspca.org/pets

What a transformation for Toby!

Toby is a 1-year-old mixed breed who came to the Bucks County SPCA as a scared, lost 2-month-old puppy in December 2024. Toby grew strong and brave, and became a lovable staff favorite at the shelter. He was adopted only a few days after becoming available for adoption!

His loving, dedicated family has been consistently training him and coming back to the shelter to visit and check in with us on his incredible progress. His most recent visit was at our Kitten Shower in February, and his adopters generously donated some pet supplies. We are always amazed by all the new tricks he has learned. His new family shared that Toby loves going to "school" and doggie daycare, especially the in-ground pool.

You can find your new best friend at the Bucks County SPCA too! If you're looking for a new companion, consider visiting either BCSPCA shelter in Lahaska or Quakertown, or browse available pets on our website: buckscountyspca.org/pets

*ADOPTED!*
3-month-old Gandalf is practicing for the US vs Australia game today! Gandalf is clearly a master in the arcane arts of playing. He enjoys little balls, tiny mice and crinkly toys.

In his foster home, Gandalf was always observing the world through the window, sometimes snoozing on the windowsill for a nap. While Gandalf got along well with his foster siblings cats, we do recommend slow, cautious introductions for any new animals, places, and experiences.

Gandalf is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and tested negative for feline leukemia. If you are interested in a curious and loving kitten, hurry into the Quakertown Shelter to meet him today!

Adoptions are first come, first served. Check back on our Available Pets page often to view up to date listings on available animals: https://buckscountyspca.org/pets/

We can't say enough great things about this beautiful boy. Rupert is our 7-year-old, very lovable Husky. This 80-lb. gentleman been with us for over a year, and we still fall for his handsome face every day. You must experience Rupert's charm in person — those icy blue eyes and his glamorous, fluffy coat are truly picture-perfect.

Rupert is so well-known in the shelter, that every time he is taken outside by staff or volunteers, it feels like he has an entourage to support his fame.

Rupert is active, playful, and walks well on leash. He's smart and loves positive reinforcement training time. It's his favorite way to bond with people. He's got it all, and has been patient, yet eager to find his new human to take him on adventures — don't forget his favorite occasion for car rides, pup cups.

Despite Rupert's good looks, he isn't a huge fan of being cuddled or fussed over. We're recommending him to go to an adult-only home with people who can respect his "can't touch this" attitude. He will thrive as your special one and only dog.

Rupert has many fans, but he's still waiting for his number #1 fan. Could it be you? Meet and adopt Rupert, your new best friend, at the Lahaska Shelter. No appointment needed! https://buckscountyspca.org/pets/rupert/

Today, we recognize and honor the Juneteenth holiday and welcome those who are off and enjoying the holiday to visit our shelters which are open for regular hours today: 12-6 pm. Adoptions end a half hour before closing.

Another is here! Check out our joyful selection of adult black bunnies, Lionhead rabbits Judy Hopps, Jessica, Joan, Josie, and Dwarf rabbit Juno.

We currently have a high rabbit population at our shelters after taking in many rabbits from a family who needed our help. Now we need help from the community to find them new loving homes! These rabbits need patient and understanding families who will give them the time they need to adjust. We have a total of 10 rabbits who are eager to find families.

🐇 Rabbits are as playful and silly as puppies, as independent and curious as cats, and can be as loyal and affectionate as dogs. With proper care and nutrition, rabbits make wonderful pets.

🐰 New to owning a rabbit? We provide House Rabbit care books to adopters! We also have a free pet behavior helpline with rabbit care advice.

Meet our neutered/spayed and microchipped rabbits and consider adopting today!
