Apollo suggested that we try out this new toy. It’s called a VTEC busy learners activity cube. Definitely a hit! Maji loves it but now Joshua needs one too. Did you see those tail feathers! He’s getting an entire new coat of feathers. Making music 🎶

Isn’t it funny that food delivered to the bowl is not as fun as food delivered by my hand. Joshua becomes very animated and shows his happiness when I hand him a snap pea. I think it’s his way of saying thank you!

Even the best behaved birds can get a little rambunctious when it is spring time. CHAUNCEY is feeling his oats and decided to take on the big gold glove. It’s almost a game, but he’s playing to win. I persist so that he won’t learn to be more aggressive and feel like the big bad dude who can intimidate his opponent for a win. I stay calm and make sure that I don’t back down. He’s back in the indoor cage now and we’ll call it a draw. Whew!!!

Isn’t it gratifying when they go straight to the healthy food! Warm sweet potato…yum!

Romeo was contentedly destroying the big cardboard packing tray that recently arrived. However when I went to record this behavior he immediately went into preening mode. But you can see by its destruction that he has been busy! Sometimes the easiest and cheapest enrichment items are delivered to us. Thank you Amazon!
