I just wanted to take a minute to tell yāall a little about us for those of you who are new to our page!!
Hi, Iām Amanda! My husband Charles and I own Pets Unlimited. He started the business in July 1997 and I came into the picture in 2008. Our brick and mortar store was open for 25 years off Ambassador Caffery-thatās me standing in the fish room of the store shortly before we closed! We were the only full line (as in all different pets & supplies) in Lafayette for quite a few years before deciding to close and semi retire 3.5 years ago.
Since then weāve downsized tremendously but continued to work with our specific local individuals to be able to offer yāall a safe and reputable place to find locally raised fur babies. A lot of them weāve maintained a close relationship with for 15 years or more.
Every baby thatās found a family in the last 3.5 years has been adopted 100% through our social media. Once we have photos we will post to here and start accepting deposits to reserve. All transactions are done through Venmo or cash app only for tax purposes on our end and to give you a proof of payment/digital receipt.
We require a half down deposit to reserve and the balance is due at pickup. I do not hold anything without a deposit nor do I meet with anyone prior to them placing a deposit. I do all of my pickups at or near Jet Coffee off Johnston Street & Camino Real Rd. Every time I do a pickup, I snap a going home photo so be sure to take a look at those in my albums at the top of the page.
Before pickup, all of our babies must go to a licensed vet for their first set of shots, physical exam (eyes, ears, lungs, heart, etc) and f***l exam. You will receive a folder with all important documents at pickup as well as a goody bag from myself that has a blanket, stuffed animal, chew toys, pumpkin puree, canned food & a ziplock of dry food.
I have tried to make this page as easily accessible as possible for you to be able to see all there is to know in one place. I go live with the babies often to explain all details to build up the trust with my audience, I ask customers to share their experiences with a review which you can find at the top of the page, I post going home photos and am constantly creating content for yāall.
Also, I try to be as readily available for my customers as possible BUT keep in mind this is a one woman show now, my husband has no hands in what happens on this page. Outside of this I also have 4 children, a mini zoo and a home to keep so please be kind when waiting for responses. Iām usually on top of my game but I do have a life outside of work as well.

I take pride in my business so Iām always here to answer your questions before, during and AFTER the sale. With me you will get a bunch of information to prepare ahead for your baby and to make the transition for him/her and yourself as easy as possible and I wonāt ghost you once I get paid, thatās not my style because I want them to THRIVE and be with their new owner forever!
So when your sitting back and thinking āoh my gosh her prices are ridiculousā please remember that you do get what you pay for all around and we arenāt in business to sell ābudget friendlyā babies because we donāt raise them on a budget and we pour more than just our money into them, itās a labor of LOVE! š„°
