After 11 incredible years in this industry, this is a post I never imagined I would have to write.
Over the past few years, my life and health have changed in ways I couldn’t have predicted. What started as small shifts slowly turned into something much bigger, and I’ve had to come to terms with the fact that I can no longer physically do the work I love the way it deserves to be done.
Dog grooming has never been “just a job” to me. It’s something I poured my heart, soul, and energy into every single day. I worked hard to learn, to grow, and to create a space where dogs felt safe, cared for, and understood. This business has been my passion, my purpose, and at times, my entire world.
Which is why this decision hasn’t been easy.
But I also know that this business—and all of you—deserve someone who can give it their full energy, attention, and vision. And that’s why I am so incredibly grateful and excited to share that Arika has officially taken over Winni Wags.
Arika has been part of this journey at such an important time in my life. From the moment she joined, she didn’t just “work here”—she showed up for this business in a way that truly mattered. She learned everything with care and intention, brought thoughtful ideas to the table, and has always had a genuine love for the dogs and the work we do.
I have watched her grow, contribute, and support this business from day one, and I truly could not ask for a better person to take over something that means so much to me. I am beyond excited to see how she makes it her own and continues building what I always hoped this could be.
I also want to take a moment to recognize Kayla (Coach). Your work ethic, passion, and dedication to this industry are so clear, and I have no doubt you’re going to go incredibly far. Thank you for the countless hours you’ve put in and for all of your support—you’ve truly made a difference here.
To my clients—thank you. Truly.
Thank you for trusting me with your dogs, for bringing them back time and time again, and for allowing me to be part of their lives. That trust is never something I took lightly. In an industry like this, it means everything, and it’s something I will always be grateful for.
Thank you to everyone who supported me along the way—through the highs, the hard days, and everything in between. Your kindness, patience, and encouragement meant more than you probably realized.
This chapter of my life has been one of the most meaningful, challenging, and fulfilling journeys I’ve ever had. And while it’s incredibly hard to step away, I know this is the right decision—for me, and for the future of the business.
I’ll still be around from time to time, and I hope to see some familiar faces when I visit. But for now, it’s time for me to focus on my health and learn a new way of living.
