Hello to our market supporters!

I wanted to update that we won't be at Meade County Farmers Market this morning due to taking a much needed rest day to recharge before our homeschool year begins.

I hope you're still able to make it out to support all of our wonderful local vendors. 💗

Several of the Nigerian Dwarf wethers he was raised with this year are still available and would make a good, affordable companion for him.

I had planned to retain him to pass on some of his breed character in my herd (look at those ears!) but due to personal family developments, I will be milking through for a season and leaving ladies open rather than breeding so I'd like to get him to a home where he can be used sooner.

Available Nigerian Dwarf Wethers!

Alice and I had our work cut out for us today. She held 16 young goats while I trimmed hooves, then I used the burdizzo tool on every boy that hasn't been reserved or retained as a buck.

We have EIGHT boys that are around 16 weeks, ready to wean and go to their new homes. All disbudded and friendly. These are from Alice's portion of the herd and will go towards her horse savings. 💖

We still have 2 Appenzeller Spitzhauben cockerels looking for a new flock!

4 months old, we got them as chicks from a local npip farm.

My mature roosters do not like these guys so I'd love to move them along to a better situation. They get along well with each other and the other chickens, no problems with temperament towards people. They're a bit flighty but hilarious to watch.
