I’ve been putting this off for awhile now but I have to officially stop taking new clients. It was a tough decision to make but I have to think about my current loyal clients and my family. I’ve been picking up extra days, working longer hours, squeezing dogs in just to try to get everyone in but I can keep that up long term. I hope to be able to open my books back up in the future but for right now I have to do this. Thank you for understanding and all of your support along the way! 🙂

I’m at the point where I am no longer taking on any more new big dog haircut clients. I’ll still take big dog bathes though. I’m also very close to closing my books to new small haircut dogs as well. I appreciate all my current clients and referrals to allow me to grow so much! ❤️

Sometimes the “after” isn’t going to look perfect, sometimes not even great. But when you’re working with a dog that has anxiety, fear, aggressive tendencies or even just wiggly/“difficult” it’s not about getting the “perfect cut.” It’s about making sure to keep tensions low, energy calm, and keeping both you and the dog safe. I think a lot of groomers struggle with knowing when to say “good enough” instead of “just trying to get these last few hairs.” I know it took me some time, but now in cases like this, if the dog is mostly done, the dog is safe/doesn’t get hurt, and if I can prevent them from getting too worked up, then I’m happy. Safe groom over perfect groom.
