HunnyBuns Rabbitry Focusing on Rex rabbits for meat, pelts, and show. I am a sucker for those pretty tri colors!

This is the darkest castor I’ve ever produced. She has thick tipping and a thin intermediate band. I’ll have to get a picture of her fur bands. She also peaks early and flattens out over the center.
However, I love her overall balance and think she will keep filling out (pic at 6 months). Her fur quality is one of the nicest in my barn.

She’s out of HunnyBuns Void, who Chaos Creek Ranch graciously let me use and HunnyBuns Eclair. This was a repeat litter.

8 week old evals from HB Biscuit and HB Otis. They all look like Otis. Great type and guardy fur 🥴. She only had 3 for her first litter, but all 3 are does! The first doe has the best fur.

Oh look! Another tri buck! 🙄 He’ll be sticking around for a while at least to attend some shows. He’s 10 weeks old out of BabyRuth and Blue Raspberry. He has two brindle sisters who are just as cute as him.

I just submitted a name change request for my page. I started this page as my urban farm page, but it has turned solely into my rabbitry page. You will soon find me as “HunnyBuns Rabbitry”.

My upfront apologies for the confusion, but I think this will save confusion in the long run! 😅 Thank you all for your love and support!

“Lacey’s Little Farm” name will soon be retired. ✌️

I made it out to the show in Monroe yesterday. It wasn’t a huge show (around 50 Rex), but still a decent turn out! It was a fun and laid back day with enough down time between shows to chat and catch up with friends 🙂

My broken opal jr doe, Bubbles, took BOB in show A under Callie. I’m so proud of how she’s turning out! Now she just needs a Sr leg to be granded.

I can’t get over the markings on this guy! His type and fur is decent too (for 10 weeks old). He has a tiny orange spot right under his nose, so he can be shown! I’m trying to come up with a name. So far I have: Itcounts, Barely, or Bo**er 😂 Taking name votes or suggestions!

I went through 4 litters that are now 8 weeks old and here are my top picks so far. Do I raise or work on blue? No! This was an opal/opal breeding. Gotta love genetics 😂 I can’t complain when they look like this though. Excited to finally have lynx, but they are bucks 🙄. Tri… also bucks... But, hey! A red and opal doe! I’ll take it.

Who’s your favorite? I go between the blue buck and opal doe. My favorites change depending on what qualities I’m looking for at the time, which seems to be a moving goalpost.

Anise and Raspberry kids are 8 weeks old. These are the three that I’ll be growing out longer. So far, not super impressed with this litter 😕. The black buck is looking the best. The bottom left is a buck and bottom right or last pic is the doe.

Anise’s litter is over 7 weeks old. She’s with 4 kits, but still gaining weight! lol. I don’t usually rebreed this early, but she’s in plenty good condition to have another litter. She only allowed 1 fall off, so we’ll see 🤞

My first litter out of GC Truffle and GC Otis are 10 weeks old. The castor doe and broken opal buck are promising, but have big shoes to fill.
