Well here at Clyde's Legacy Ranch another member that seldom gets into the videos is our Mojave Desert Tortoise named, "Moses". He was given to us over 25 years ago by some neighbors that had to leave him. He is in his 80's and should live at lease another 60-70 years? I do not know his origin, but he has been in captivity his whole life. It would be cruel to just turn him back into the desert. So he is a resident at CLR until he goes to one of our grandchildren. All is well at CLR.

At Clyde's Legacy Ranch: Berry, Cisco and Waffles were rescued from a potential kill auction by "Horses Deserve a Second Chance LLC. We got those three boys from there. We legally acquired Jedi after an owner abandoned him. So all four are rescues. We occasionally ride all our horses gently within their means. I occasionally offer "first time rider" training to friends and family. Here is a video of our granddaughter Brooklynn working with Waffles so he can be trusted to work with younger children. I believe in a "gentle snaffle bit" and have ridden with a bosal and just a halter. But for teaching riding in south Texas, it is good to teach a rider to be gentle with a bit. Two of my "retired Police Mounts" were required to be ridden with a bit on duty for public safety and horse control. We care for our horse kids.... all is well at Clyde's Legacy Ranch.

Good Morning! Today it is cold and we are expecting freezing rain. It has been in the 70's all week so we decided to blanket the boys with light blankets. Sorry for the sweeping video I was in a hurry to get crazy Waffles. We are careful and remove the blankets if the temp gets up to 40. All is well at COLD CLR.

Happy New Year! We have all three grandkids at CLR this week. Been riding ATV's, helping at the ranch and now time of a little riding...... Waffles and Berry drew the short straw today, but they are horses to trust. All is well in 2026!

MERRY CHRISTMAS from CLR ! Nice warm day here in south Texas. Boys are just having a lazy afternoon. They are a bit warm in their winter coats and almost 80 degree temp right now. It is suppose to cool off Monday? But all is well at Clyde's Legacy Ranch.

The ranch is looking like a desert. No rain in the last two months. Silly boys are at the taco "day hay " truck munching away. The noise of a stump grinder doesn't even bother them. How important it is to desensitize horses to loud strange noise. All is well at CLR !

Welcome to Clyde's Legacy JUNGLE! The rains in late May and June have lead to a phenomenal growth in our wooded areas. I think the horses like it? They do spend the afternoons grazing around in the tall weeds. There doesn't seem to be any issues. All is well at CLR !

Praise the Lord we finally got some real rain over the last few days. With the rain it has also been a bit cooler and the horse kids like that. I decided today to just post a quick video of our dog "Kopi". She is actually my son and daughter in law's dog but we took her when our Navy son transferred. She likes getting wet in the rain but Debbie doesn't like the dog or me dragging wet sand into the house!

Today is Turkey Vulture Day at CLR. Something dead across the fence behind the ranch. I told the horses better not lay down real still or you are gonna have some friends drop in. Living out in the country! All is well at Clyde's Legacy Ranch.
