Separation anxiety may appear when daily routines suddenly change.
Back-to-school mornings can look very different from summer mornings, and pets notice. Some may adapt quickly, while others become distressed when family members leave for school, work, and activities.
Signs of separation anxiety may include whining, barking, pacing, drooling, destructive behavior, or attempting to escape. These behaviors are not simply your pet being difficult. They may be signs of genuine distress that deserve attention.
