Some heroes wear capes. Ours wear scrubs. 🐾💚

They're nurses, anesthetists, dental experts, patient advocates, professional treat dispensers, and the people who sit on the floor with your nervous pet until they feel safe.

This Vet Tech Week, we're celebrating the incredible people who make veterinary medicine possible.

Show our team some love in the comments! 🫶

After a lot of hard work and patience we are so thrilled to announce our Pet Angel Fund!

Sometimes, more time together starts with a little help. 🐾

An unexpected illness or emergency can leave a family facing a veterinary bill they simply can’t manage—even when treatment could bring their pet home.

That’s why we launched the Pearl Street Pet Angel Fund with the myBalto Foundation: to help eligible families access veterinary care for the pets they love.

More walks. More cuddles. More ordinary days that mean everything.

If you’re able, please donate through the link in our bio. And if you can’t give today, sharing this post helps us reach someone who can. 💙

Marshall heard we're extending our opening hours and, as you can see, he's taking the news VERY well. 😂🐾

More time for belly rubs, treats and keeping our La Jolla pets happy and healthy? He's all for it! 💙

🎉 BIG NEWS, LA JOLLA!

Starting Monday, October 19, Pearl Street Pet Hospital & Urgent Care is extending our hours!

🩺 Monday–Saturday: 9 AM–7 PM
🐾 Sunday: Closed

Because pets don't always get sick between 9 and 5, and we're making it easier to get them the care they need.

More hours. More availability. More care. 💙

September is Animal Pain Awareness Month!

Pets don’t always show pain — sometimes they just act a little… different.

Watch for:
✨ Limping or stiffness
✨ Hiding or being less social
✨ Sleeping more
✨ Less interest in play
✨ Changes in appetite
✨ Reluctance to jump or use stairs
✨ Irritability or acting “not like themselves”

You know your pet best. If something feels off, don’t ignore the little signs.

🌊🐾 Coastal living, but make it veterinary. ☀️

Lucky to call La Jolla home — where sunny days, salty air, happy pets, and an ocean full of wildlife are just outside our doors.

We’re proud to care for this community and bring a little La Jolla beach energy into everything we do.

Good vibes. Great care. 🐾🌊

Today we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001 — the mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, friends, coworkers, and first responders whose lives were taken far too soon.

As members of the veterinary community, we’re reminded every day of the incredible bond between people and animals — a bond built on love, trust, companionship, and unwavering loyalty.

Today, we honor every life lost, every hero who served, and every animal who stood beside their people.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🕊️🇺🇸🐾
