Green Paws Veterinary Care Welcome to Green Paws Veterinary Care! They never hold a grudge. They smile with their whole bodies when you pet them. They sleep on your bed. We get that.

They’re there for you when you’re sad and are happy when you’re happy. They’re not just pets. They’re furry family members. And we want them to live as long as you do. That’s why we provide the best veterinary care possible. You worry when they’re sick. We get that too. We try to communicate with you exactly what’s going on, because when you’re informed, you’ll worry less. We realize that our patients can be scared too, so we work carefully to make each visit as fun for them as possible. Our building may be old, but we keep our equipment, skills and knowledge current and modern. With an in-house lab, x-ray capabilities, surgery suite, anesthetic monitors, computerized medical records and even a home delivery system for food and medication, we are equipped to handle almost any illness or injury. We believe that the best way to say thanks for their tail-wagging, unconditional love is to give them the best health care and we can help you do that. We have a passion for what we do. Rabies is a deadly disease that can affect both pets and people. Once clinical signs develop, rabies is almost always fatal, which is why prevention is so important.

Illinois has already confirmed rabies positive bats in 2026, including in Cook County, reminding us that rabies is still present in our communities.

Keeping your dog or cat up to date on their rabies vaccination is one of the most important things you can do to protect your pet, your family, and your community, even if they live inside!

This handsome fellow is a Dalmatian!
And apparently, he has discovered the secret to a successful veterinary exam… TREATS ARE KING!
He’ll sit pretty, pose like a gentleman, and cooperate for his exam, as long as the snacks keep coming!

💚🐾 You Can Be Beautiful AND Have a Face That Says, “No Thank You.”

This pretty kitty may have had a very clear opinion about today’s visit…
But no matter what that adorable face was saying, one thing is for sure, she was very loved at Green Paws!
Sometimes our feline friends aren’t exactly thrilled about their appointment, but we’ll always give them plenty of patience, gentle care, and love along the way.

Sometimes our furry friends just need a little extra reassurance.
A sweet moment between Chrissy and one of our patients, reminding them that there’s nothing to be afraid of and that they are in the very best hands.
With a gentle voice, a little love, and plenty of cuddles, Chrissy is letting this sweet client know:
