Do you all remember the stray dog found on the corner of 22 and Haunz Lane?
That really big, really scared, extremely skinny dog that wouldn’t let anyone around him??

That’s him in the first picture then, the rest are him now!

When we first found him, he wanted nothing to do with us. For at least a few weeks we would have to sit in front of his closed kennel and talk to him, toss him treats, and we just continued providing him a calm and stable environment.
He finally came around and after that first month, he blossomed out of his shell!!

Wanna talk about a glow up? Lazarus is the definition of a Glow up!

When we found him, he weighed 45lbs, today he is up to a whopping 120lbs!!!

We go for walks, we go outside and play ball…this boy LOVES his Jolly Ball!! ( if you’re looking for something to donate, he needs a new one🤣) He runs and plays with the other dogs, he’s definitely one that comes to you when he’s ready for attention and he’ll tell you when it’s time to play!

We believe he is a Great Dane/Cane Corso mix, we believe he is around 6-8 years old. He’s a senior boy, but still has some energy to burn.
He has been with us since March.

If you’re interested in adopting this beautiful boy, please come on down to the shelter and meet him!

He is located at Oldham County Animal Services
1345 North Highway 393, La Grange KY, 40031

His adoption fee is $150, Cash/Check only.

If you have any questions you can call us at 502-222-7387!

Whisper (Black) and Wind (White) are ready to find their furever homes!

Several weeks ago they were running loose on Rose Island Rd. They didn’t care how many times they stopped traffic.
They wouldn’t come to anyone.

Fast forward to today, These beautiful sisters have opened up and are flourishing here in the shelter. They are a bonded pair and we would love to adopt them out together.

They are super sweet, playful and loving dogs!!! We estimate them to be around 4 years old. They are so happy to be out of the road and in a warm safe environment. It did not take them long to start giving cuddles and kisses!

If you are interested in Whisper and Wind, come on down and meet them at Oldham County Animal Services
1345 N Hwy 393, La Grange KY 40031!!

Please share!!!

They will also be at our Paws in the Parks Event on Saturday!
