I AM STILL LOOKING FOR MY FOREVER HOME!
Hi! My name is Apollo, and I’m a 4-year-old Belgian Malinois currently accepting applications for a new full-time chaos coordinator.
I was surrendered through no fault of my own. My previous family worked long hours, and unfortunately I was born with approximately 17 jobs worth of energy and absolutely no desire to be unemployed.
I am fully e-collar trained, have very solid obedience, and I know how to behave like a respectable member of society. Whether or not I choose to act respectable at all times is a separate conversation.
Despite looking like I could es**rt you out of a restricted military facility, I am actually a sensitive little flower. If your tone is wrong, I may take it personally. I need an experienced handler who understands working breeds, structure, fair corrections, clear communication, and occasionally telling me that I am still a very handsome boy after hurting my feelings.
I would LOVE to get involved in dog sports. Dock diving, barn hunt, obedience, scent work, Fast CAT, tracking, retrieving things I was specifically told not to retrieve—I’m pretty open-minded. The exact sport matters less than having an owner who wants to do things with me consistently. I am not looking for a “we hike twice a month when the weather is nice” lifestyle. I have goals. I have dreams. Most of them involve running.
My absolute favorite activity is PLAYING. Current specialties include:
* Tug of war
* Ball
* “Apollo, stop doing that.”
* “Apollo, what do you have?”
* “Drop it.”
* “Apollo, NO.”
* Sprinting around like I just remembered I’m a Belgian Malinois
I am 4 years old, neutered, fully vaccinated, trained, athletic, playful, and looking for someone who genuinely enjoys the intensity and ridiculousness that comes with this breed.
Apollo is not a beginner dog and will be placed with an experienced, active home that understands Malinois/working dogs. He needs structure, engagement, an outlet for his drive, and someone who wants a dog to be part of their lifestyle—not just part of their living room.
