The HorseSense Moving sale is THIS Thursday, Friday, & Saturday! All proceeds from the sale go back to HorseSense to support our relocation.

The sale will be inside so we’ll be here rain or shine! Here is just a very small sample of what we have and we need as much of it gone as we can. HorseSense can’t take it all with us so how about taking it home with you 😆

Despite this being an extremely busy time for our team, we are super excited to introduce everyone to our newest herd member — Cash! ❤️

Cash is a 17-year-old Quarter Horse who first joined us in February to begin his trial period. Fun fact: today is his birthday, so please wish him a very happy birthday too! 🎉

It has been so much fun getting to know him over the last few months, even with all the work surrounding our relocation, and we are looking forward to introducing him to more participants and volunteers! Another fun fact — Cash comes from the same home as our beloved Fancy, and we are so grateful his owner reached out about leasing him to the program. ❤️

Cash is the sweetest guy and definitely knows his job well. He will be a wonderful partner for many of our participants, especially those working toward greater independence, as he is well-trained, reliable, and eager to please. Right now, he is best friends with Kit and Fancy, and the three of them are almost always spotted together in their pasture.

Our team has loved getting to know him both inside and outside of the arena, and we are very excited for our participants and volunteers to get to know him more when programming resumes later this year!

Moving sale prep has the HorseSense team a little busy as of late 😅

“HorseSense has been a huge part of Liam’s life and is something he will cherish forever. Working with the horses brings Liam a tremendous amount of joy. Liam loves HorseSense and can’t wait for his next lesson. Horse therapy has made a positive impact on Liam in several ways. He has learned to slow down when completing a task. Helping him complete tasks correctly and paying attention to detail. Liam has improved in his verbal communication when speaking with the others. He has improved his strength and balance. The most important lesson Liam is learning is to care and love others.

HorseSense shutting down and moving this summer is unfortunate for everyone. Liam is sad that he won’t see his horse friends over the summer. He is always looking forward to his next lesson. This will be a difficult summer for Liam without his friends. HorseSense is a vital service for individuals and families. As a family we are eternally grateful to the hard working people at HorseSense for their dedication to others.”

The pausing of services affects so many, especially during what would have been our busiest session of the year. Join us for HorseSense’s Moving Sale on June 4th, 5th, and 6th! A lot of stuff accumulates over 12 years and we can’t take it all to our new home- but you can take it home with you😆

We’ll have an array of horse related items (tack, saddles, blankets, girths, halters, etc) as well as household items like a grill, fans, kitchen items, vintage wheels, and more! All proceeds from the sale go directly into our relocation costs and will make all the difference.

THANK YOU to everyone who came and supported Ponies, Pinots, & Pilsners last evening. It was a beautiful night and the HorseSense team was so grateful to see everyone. The team always enjoys seeing familiar faces and seeing new ones!

Thank you to Horstmann Homestead Farm and Event for opening up their gorgeous venue to us again this year. They are truly so great to work with us and the space is absolutely perfect.
