Dogs Day Away

I grew up in Jack County and most of my family still resides in the area. So far, my family is safe from the fires but many residents of Jack and Palo Pinto Counties have lost everything. Dogs Day Away will be donating to Taylor Feed & Supply’s “Stock the Trailers” feed drive to help those in the communities who need it. If you would like to help, any monetary or feed donations can be made to Taylor Feed or Dogs Day Away. All donations will go directly to residents in the community in need. Donations will be accepted until September 3rd and then will be delivered by Taylor Feed Store to residents Jack County.

Haulin’ Hope for Ross Fire Relief 🌾
As many of you know, the massive Ross wildfire has exploded to over 83,000 acres across Palo Pinto and Jack County, forcing evacuations amid extreme heat and wind.

This massive fire is only about 12% contained, leaving countless farmers and ranchers without the feed and supplies they depend on.

Jack County is where I grew up and where my family and friends still call home.

In the words of my Momma “ if you have the means or ability to help someone, you do it simply because it’s the right thing to do. “

So here at Taylor Feed and Supply, we’re launching a Feed Drive to collect feed and other essential supplies for those impacted.

Dogs Day Away is hiring a kennel technician!

Full-time availability is preferred but will consider part-time applicants.

Applicants must be at least 18 Yrs of age and have reliable transportation. Must be available weekends and holidays. Schedule hours may vary. (5:30am-8:30pm - 7 days a week). Must be willing and able to work outdoors all times of year. Must be capable of lifting 40lbs.

Pay rate: DOE - please note this is an entry-level position.
Employees are compensated based upon experience and overall job performance. There is a bonus plan in place for employees after their initial 90 day probationary period.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

- Cleaning, Disinfecting and maintaining animal kennels, play yard areas and any related equipment. Sanitizing bowls, utensils and laundry.
- Provides for the overall health and care of dogs by feeding, watering, and bathing/brushing animals when needed.
⁃ Giving medications/supplements as directed.
⁃ Interacting with pets and providing playtime enrichment.
⁃ Monitoring dogs for any behavioral or health changes while in Dogs Day Away care.
⁃ Monitoring outdoor play times to ensure animal safety.
⁃ Reception duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying vaccinations, collecting payments and data entry into our software system.
⁃ Monitoring dog body language to determine less stressful ways to handle pets.
⁃ Implement all Company policies regarding vaccinations and handling of pets
